As you can tell from their website, they decorate each room according to a different movie theme. They also provide fundamentally good hotel rooms. That is, the room I had was spacious, there was plenty of closet space to store clothes, there was a tea kettle, beds + linens were good, lighting good, wifi access was good, even though I was on the top floor, and bathrooms were great! One thing to be forewarned about is that this is an older building and my part of the building had no elevator, so if you book a room, you may want to confirm which level you are on, if you don't want to got up a lot of stairs. The location is fantastic: On the main street in Lodz, though note that it's pedestrian and taxi only, so if you're using Uber, for example, you drop-off/pick-up points are at the nearest intersection a very short walk away. There is a restaurant in the hotel, but I didn't try it. You're on the main street in Lodz, so there are options for food within a few minutes walking, anyway. Hotel staff was okay, and spoke English adequately enough, if you need that. Note that the staffing is minimal, so I don't think it's a full-service hotel. That is, I didn't see any signage or menus for laundry service, 24-hour room service, or porters to help with your luggage, etc. etc. Bathrooms: Modern, clean, and very functional! Towels were fluffy and nice!

    Puro Łódź

PURO Łódź is a brand new addition to the historic city of Łódź (pronounced: Woodge), and it'll…read morespoil you to the fullest. I know that was the case for me + my fiance. Heck, I actually proposed to her in this hotel! No joke. PUROs lifestyle brand hotels are poppin' up all over major metropolitan cities in Poland: Warsaw, Kraków, Poznań, Gdańsk & Wrocław. They all cater to those who seek a higher level of luxury, sharp design aesthetic all around them, being in the middle (or close proximity) to cultural & entertainment centers. PURO Łódź is no different. If you're arriving via train (Łódź Fabryczna station), you'll be about 30 min away by foot from the hotel. Not the worst distance, especially considering you really get to feel the vibe of the city. Plenty of dilapidated buildings, trendy murals, old-school neon signs along your walk. It might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I adore this untouched, left-to-the-winds-of-time approach/neglect. The locals might have a different take here. The location is rather spot-on. It's right across the mega-shopping center complex (over 300 stores), formerly a textile mill, Manufaktura. Considering the proximity, you'd be a fool not to step foot in there, even if simply to snatch a pic with the massive Manufaktura signage. Personal favs in Manufaktura: MS2 Art Museum + Museum of the City of Lodz (Muzeum Miasta Łodzi). Also, if you really despise your stay at PURO (highly unlikely), there's another hotel within Manufaktura, the infamous Vienna House Andel's Lodz. Why infamous? Well, there's this one enticing detail: a glass-enclosed rooftop pool with a view of Łódź. You'll actually get to see Andel's guests do laps from PURO's bar on the top floor. We checked in during Easter and considering that Poland is an *extremely* Christian country, the entire hotel was pretty much to our disposal. Because of that, we got to: - Dine A L O N E at the Miska Gastro, with a seating capacity of at least 100+! - Watch Netflix's "Homecoming: A Film" in the private theater, Cinema Paradiso just by ourselves - Have the whole bar with a terrace on the top floor to ourselves multiple times during our stay The staff has been on the younger side (speaking as someone in his early 30's), but they've had a professional yet upbeat attitude. When we needed our tv fixed (software reset), they were in our room in a jiffy. As to our room, we stayed in a Junior Suite, and it exceeded all of our expectations. Or maybe it's just the fact that as long as you give me a Nespresso machine & a tablet to control the room, I'll be content? Anyways, we can't wait to check out the other PURO Hotels in Poland! P.S. They also have a dedicated app, "Porter & Sail," that makes your stay even a bit more high-tech.
