Very bad hotel. 2 stars just for the position, for the rest there isn't any different between a toilet and the room of this "hotel". Very disappoint. It's cool that you can smoke in the room, it's amazing that you are receptionist 24h per day but is also true that the build is over. They need to refresh it properly. Receptionists are been very kind and friendly. They should shamed if we thinking about the important place where they are and because they have next to them two real hotel. We was meant to stay one night but we missed our flight, so ended up staying two. Great price excellent location, clean. Hand sanitizer in the lobby, face masks in the vending machine and the hotel staff was very helpful. We decided to upgrade to a room with a private bathroom with a TV for like 6 Euros and was hit with a VAT tax of 5 Euros for one night, the upgrade was worth it. This hotel allowed guests to smoke in their smoking rooms, I smoked recreational marijuana purchased in the local Coffee Shop 'Babylon' which is yards away on the same street hanging out of the window blowing smoke outside so as not to leave the room stinking of weed. Next to this hotel is a little convienece store with an ATM that acts like a post office too so you can post from here with ease. It's close to landmarks and a big supermarket next to the palace which is handy. Amsterdam Central Station is within walking distance and their WiFi is excellent reaching the room with ease, the TV was domestic Dutch speaking TV. read more

HORRIBLE ACCOMODATION OPTION! would never stay here again, expect to be woken up every day by housekeeping, and being yelled at for entering your room. You get one room key. Steep stairs which is fine, but walls are very loud and thin. Staff was unhelpful and almost non-english speaking. Bathroom was tiny, and the space we got was basically a toilet. read more
