The location of the hotel is also great, lots of restaurants and bars in walking distance. Our only complaints were: no hand towels or wash cloths in the room whatsoever, no refrigerator which is odd for a Marriott.. and the shower was full of long black hairs! Hairs strung along the walls and clumped in the corner.. made me concerned with the cleanliness of the rest of the room! I just expected a little more from a Marriott but it probably wouldn't deter me from giving it another try sometime because the property itself was beautiful and centrally located!

I'm assuming it was the latter, because it's just a little contact case, but at 10:45pm when you're trying to go to sleep and you can't find something that you need to do that lying where you left it, that's not right. I wish this didn't happen because everyone at the hotel is very nice and pleasant, but housekeeping messing with my stuff is not ok, very very not ok. It was also handled extremely poorly, which I would think anytime something is taken from a room, no matter what, it should be considered a serious event and taken care of quickly. As a long time platinum member of both SPG/Marriott, this is some real BS.

I just got back from this Pueblo Mágico and I'm so glad to have selected this charming boutique…read morehotel. It has everything that I needed. In January it gets cold and the hotel staff made everything comfortable. It's location is in the heart of town and it's absolutely safe and clean! I met up with a relative there and wow! everything is walking distance from all the main attractions. When I planned the trip not to many travelers share important details and I hope my experience and info/pics helps everyone. The hotel looks way better in person, I was impress with my room on the second floor with a large window over looking at the Main Street . I'm a light sleeper but the noise was never an issue and the natural light is spectacular. The furniture at the lobby is great but it could use some uplifting with a more rustic Mexican theme. But over all the place is worth the stay for its location and charm. All the staff at the hotel is absolutely amazing, The main Bell Man Leonard is very helpful and knowledgeable. My favorite place to eat authentic food was just feet away from the hotel. Be sure to stop by to Tacos y Carne bar "Los Revolcados". (Affordable prices). For higher end meals visit BRASA ( steak house ) inside Esquina San Agustin plaza. Located on the same street; walk over to enjoy some authentic hot chocolate at "Cacao Nativa". These were a few of many favorite places to eat around town. How to get to the hotel: easy and safe! From the main Airport in Tuxla ( inside the airport) there's a OCC buss counter also know as ADO and at every hour they have buses that take you straight San Cristobal De Las Casas. They take credit cards. The cost is extremely affordable approx $8.00 and they run every hour ( I purchased my ticket upon arrival). From the buss station at arrival take a local taxi that will charge you aproxima $3.00 ( the taxi ride is just 5 minutes you're at the hotel). Here's the link to the buss company: https://www.ado.com.mx/#/ Mexico and their tourism warmness continues to impress me. This is why I keep going back ! Happy Travels.
