Excellent hotel for spending a skiing holiday…read more The location is good, right next to the Kappl bergbahn that leads the village's own skiing area, but also right next to the bus stop where you can go with a regular service to Ischgl the larger skiing area in the next village. The hotel itself is staffed by friendly people who speak both German and English maybe other languages. The rooms are large and spacious with excellent showers, but small terraces. The food is excellent, breakfast is a buffet with something for everyone and diner is a mix of buffet for the salads and served for the main course and the dessert. The hotel also has a handy ski-room where you can store your skis and boots. Wellness facilities like sauna and massages are also present, but I didn't make use of them during my stay. There is also a good apres-ski bar attached to the hotel. Lastly the hotels offers free WiFi under the usage of 4 GB which is quite enough for a week. I would definitely recommend this hotel to people coming to this ski area.

Would certainly recommend this hotel for a modern touch to a chalet. Cons: Said there was free parking - there wasn't, had to paid 15euros a day. Wouldn't have been annoyed had they been upfront and said that parking wasn't free. Ate the breakfast in the restaurant and had drinks at the bar, we gave tips on the bill but when we checked out l, they added an additional 10% for food and 20% for drinks so double service. I'm not sure whether this was an honest mistake or a scam but we paid in advance for the room for the entire duration. At check in, was told that "you only paid for half your stay". I quickly corrected that false statement. Fantastic spa area, really well done but no hot tub, in my opinion the one thing that really is nice after skiing. You can rent skis in house. We rented at the slopes because the shop was closed when we tried to rent. The choice of rental in ischgal was better and more convenient as you didn't have to walk around in ski boots. Overall it was a nice hotel and certainly better priced and more modern looking than the hotels nearby.

Bormio was stop 3 on a two week cycling trip across Switzerland, Italy, and France with friends. We arrived very late (2:30am) and the staff was accommodating our arrival ensuring that our keys and such were available for us. The rooms were great but the grounds, breakfast, staff, and catering to cyclists was the best. As we interacted with the staff we suspected they were family as they all clearly looked like sisters...and we were right. Family owned for quite some time and the care and attention to detail shows. The attitude of friendliness to us at every moment was very nice. The front grounds were amazingly kept and welcoming to just sit and enjoy the sun and conversation. For us it presented a great place for some après refreshments as we eased our sore legs. The hotel is perfectly located for cyclists. While we didn't partake in the promoted Stelvio Experience (we had arranged outer own courses for the 3 days) it did look like quite a good organization if you hadn't arranged a plan in advance. The hotel and Bormio are perfectly located for riding. We didn't use our car at all and were able to ride Stelvio, Gavia, Mortirolo and other areas with ease. The hotel itself caters to cyclists with an amazing secure bike room and all the tools you could need to give your ride a tune each day and wash afterwards. Really fantastic. And the laundry service for your cycling kit also was very welcome. The front desk also carries some gels and electrolytes for purchase if you need some. While we didn't partake in the restaurant for dinner, the breakfast was amazing. An array of very tasty options to please everyone. Coffee, latte, espresso machine accommodates those in your party who drink coffee. And if you don't there are plenty of other fresh fruit juices to enjoy. Fantastic breakfast to start the day. We didn't stay here, but the food was so good, we ate two days in a row…read more The first night we turned up without a reservation, and unfortunately there was no room in the restaurant. No problem though, they lead us through to the bar and we able to sit at a high table there. The barman, Jannis, was a star, he got drinks orders, brought menus and even helped to describe certain items on the menu (which was in Austrian) and make suggestions. Not bad for someone who doesn't actually work in the restaurant and therefore may not have complete knowledge. The food was excellent, my pork medallions were beautifully cooked, lovely and tender and the Spaetzel, although not quite a fan, was some of the best I'd had. Similar findings were had by my group. We decided then that we'd book again for the next night and he was happy to sort us out. Jannis was surprisingly there to greet us the next day, and we were shown into the restaurant itself. On this occasion we decided to have starters, I had a wonderful beef broth with liver spaetzel, followed by beef stew with green beans and bacon - heavenly. We were wondering about dessert and were told of 2 specials, apple crumble and apple strudel - I opted for the strudel and a large slice of it was brought - obviously made on premises and with almost no currents in sight. I don't know when I will be skiing in Warth again, but I will be stopping in here when I do!
