Located away from any of the main streets in the city of Backnang, from the outside this doesn't…read morelook like a typical hotel and if you don't see the sign or know what you're looking for, you might pass right by it. I've had a couple of very nice stays here. The area is completely quiet and dark at night, and this is the formula for a good night's sleep. Add to that a very low bed with soft mattress (not too soft) and nice fluffy pillows. The comfortable rooms are simple, modern and nicely furnished. The bathrooms are small with glass shower stalls. Very clean. After a serious long flight from Los Angeles through Chicago to Munich, then picking up a rental car and driving from Munich another 3 hours to here, it's nice to be able to check in to a hotel where the process is very smooth, warm and welcoming. It has the personal feel of a bed-and-breakfast. In fact, the breakfast they serve in the morning is nicely done with hot, cold options, coffee and tea. The checkout process had the same smooth, personal, professional touch. With narrow streets and buildings that are tightly packed together, you'll most likely be parking underneath the structure. The parking spots are small and it takes a bit of maneuvering to get in and out of them. From the hotel, it's a short walk down the street to the town center where you can shop and eat. Oh and making reservations from the States to Germany was a breeze.
