We usually have lunch on the mountain in the many lodges. We arrived by train from Vienna. Connection in Salzburg. Then final destination radstat. From there the hotel arranged a taxi. He recognized us Americans and grabbed our luggage. We sped off towards obertauern. Up the windy mountain pass. And down into the town. Check in was easy. Room was ready early. They even take you on a tour of hotel and show us where everything is. Which was helpful. The room had amazing views. We had a corner room. So we had windows on 2 sides of the room. The first night was a little dry and warm. Another couple told us to leave windows open a little bit and wrap up in the duvet. That worked great for the rest of the stay. The pool area did have lots of kids playing during our stay. But we didn't mind. We still got time to relax in the whirlpool. The wellness area was definitely different than any in the US. But it was very relaxing. We did enjoy it. We had massages one day. Which were also relaxing. Overall the food was excellent. We tried new dishes all the time. Luckily our neighbors at dinner helped us a little bit with some of the foods we didn't recognized. Language was not an issue at all. We would highly recommend going back again!
