I'm upset because really they serve the best cake I have ever eaten and I'm sad I didn't try it out sooner! I'm happy because had I eaten here sooner, I would have gone home a few kilos heavier! This cake is simply the best I have ever had and there are so many varieties to choose from.
We enjoyed a piece of cake and drinks outside when the weather was nice, which just made it perfect!
Price is a bit high, 5 eur for each piece of cake, I expected it to be around 3 eur but like I said, it is the best cake I've ever had so I guess you can't put a price on that?
Service is lacking, which is why I also knocked off a star. We didn't know if we would have service at the table or had to go inside and order (just so you know, you order the cake inside and it will be taken to your table, but the drinks at your table--at least this is how it worked outside, perhaps inside the cafe it would work differently). Also, the person serving us was not especially friendly, I made a comment about how there were so many choices and I had a tough time deciding, etc. and the person just gave me the "come on lady, just choose already!" look in response.
Anyways, I will most certainly return here every time when visiting Eichstätt!
