This is an awesome department store. It kinda reminded of Macy's in their heyday, before their…read morebusiness model crumbled and fell into disrepair. Aisles were clean, bright and organized with an upscale feel. In Cleveland, you don't see department stores with this amount of life, it felt nostalgic. If you happen to be in Marienplatz as most tourists would be drawn here, and you need clothing essentials for whatever reason (e.g. lost luggage), this is a perfect place to go.

It was about a 10-15 minutes on the subway from the Glockenspiel. It was around the corner from the Maillongerstaße train stop. One of the best features of this yarn stop is that it has a cafe inside where you can sit and knit. I didn't eat but the meals looked nice. I will definitely be coming back if I'm in Munich again!

The shop is well organized and stocks a wide range of yarns, needles, and accessories. The owner is pleasant, knowledgeable, and welcoming--speaking fluent English and German. The shop is easy to find-- one metro stop from Central Station. I came away with yarn from Great Britain, unavailable in the US and happy memories of a fun shopping experience. I highly recommend it.
