A vegetarian walks into a kebab shop, and the review began like a tedious joke…read more Unfortunately, it was no joke, as I looked over the menu and ordered the 'vegetarian kebab', looking longingly at the piles of fresh peppers, onions and the bubbling chilli sauce. I got lettuce. In a pitta. For £1.50. However, I'm told the kebabs, for meat eaters, are of adequate quality, if not spectacular, and the chips are more than edible, especially if combined with a pitta - though they can be a bit greasy. If you're drunk, anything I write here won't stop you. If you're not, what are you doing buying a kebab in the first place?

The biggest kebab and large chips is probably the size of a small/medium at our last local in Romford. I'm to,d that there is an industry standard but I'm not to well up on what that would actually be. Parking for me is always an issue. The spaces outside are always taken up by pizza delivery drivers. No fault of the shop but does put me off when I can't park nearby. (Maybe a nice walk before the kebab will help me burn off the calories in advance!) Bigger, better value portions will be the key to me awarding 4/5 stars.

They are good value for money and always offer a free bottle of coke and a free starter with your meal if you spend a certain amount. Depending on what the free starter is, they have always let me change it for something else of the same value if I didn't like what was on offer.
