AmerIcan Home Shield Insurance scheduled a repair for my fridge, I called to check on the timing. while on the phone with one of the representative I asked if the insurance has called them to change the time, she rudely replied "the insurance doesn't call to change schedule" then hang up on me. I thought that was inappropriate and not necessary. read more

I certainly should have looked at these reviews before American Home shield sent them . They assured us the refrigerator/ freezer was fixed. They are not! I am waiting for a call to schedule again . Their mailbox is full .. probably from other unhappy customers. Finally reached them .. they have not even told American home shield results of their assessment . Now they say we need a compressor after I complained it was still broken . Please save yourself the time ! read more

They do NOT know what they are doing! They have come 4 times and are unable to fix the fridge. American Home Shield not only allows them to mistreat the client, but also enable them. read more

I, too, was another American Homeshield victim to this terrible appliance company. They don't come on time and they never fixed my washer and now they won't answer the phone for myself or American Homeshield to finish the job!! I am extremely upset with their service and I'm almost about to cancel with Homeshield after being a customer for over 8 years! Please don't waste your time!! read more

I highly rate this company and AMercian Home Shield with a 0! They are both scammers! I have been with AHS for several years and each time I've submitted a service request they've assigned Hot Shot Appliance. Each time Hot Shot Appliance has failed to repair anything sufficiently and I would eventually have to make another service request! Hot Shot Appliance comes in an assess an appliance and always needs to order a part. They also have broken one part trying to repair another part. This incident has occurred twice on my refrigerator and several times on a washer AHS refuses to replace! AHS has sent another appliance company to my home to repair my washer and once again he claims another part has to be ordered! This is my last round with both companies! read more

They are the litteral worst. They did not fix my appliance but said they did then they told me a part was ordered and it took a week for me to.find out from homeshield it had not been ordered and They never submitted a report. read more

Another Home Shield victim. Our washer went out. Visit #1, the 2 guys spent time on their phones googling the issue. We were told parts had to be ordered. Visit #2, two new guys showed up. Since our washer/dryer is stacked, we had to pay $97.50 for them to take the dryer off to fix the washer. Fine, except they scratched the crap out of our washer. And then we were told another part had to be ordered. Also, they wanted to leave the dryer on the floor blocking access to our garage because they didn't want to charge us an additional $97.50 to move it a second time. Really? Your problem, and you are going to charge another fee? Also, they didn't hook the gas back up, so the dryer wasn't heating. Visit #3, visit 2 guys showed up. We expressed our displeasure with the scratches on the washer. No apology, the response was, "That dryer is heavy." I asked why I had to pay $97.50 for crap service and got a blank stare. Their van says 25 years experience. From the 4 people we had, I am guessing that is a collective number at best. read more

I was skeptical to use the preferred business from American Home Shield after reading the various reviews. I always believed everyone deserves a chance and every situation is different. Long story short, Hot Shot, was utilized to repair my dishwashing that was not draining. They came did an assessment and communicated they had to order the part "No Problem". Everything went great technicians came out and repaired the dishwasher on May 29, 2019.  Great Happy camper, until my wife and I started noticing water under the floor mat in front of the sink 90 days later.  Yes, we were like it has be from the sink for when we washed dishes, until my wife  notice the water along the dish washer. So, I decided to remove the bottom cover of the dish washer to see what is going on.    Upon removal, I can see with my flashlight the water was coming from the same part I stood right there when the technician came to fix my dish washer in the beginning. I pull the receipt from when they came to fix it, and would you know it in the fine print it states parts are guaranteed for sixty days from repair date. No guarantee on rubber , glass or plastic parts and labor charged after 30 days.  Wow should I have pay for something that was not due to customer negligence. I'm an honorable Soldier/Veteran so I decided to call the company anyway since it was only 120 days after fixing my dish washing.  The young lady on the phone was so unconcern with the problem that has occurred and was only utilizing the escape of the part is covered for sixty. days.    I can respect the hustle, but at the same time honor and prestige of the company should be incorporated in the business. As a customer why would  I pay for a service that was just performed and the leak resulted from your technician not properly tightening the connector to the hose. I even took a video for them just in case they needed it to see for themselves.  I would have been more open if the representative from Hot Shot would have communicated a technician would come out to assess and if the failure was due to the technician than the repair service is free. If anything other than that, I could respect the fee for coming out. I will definitely not recommend this company nor utilize them as perspective contractor for American Home Shield.  I work in the industry with many contract associates and they all communicate the same "It's not always about the money, it's about customer service and taking care of the customer" read more

Hot Shot Appliance Srv - Technician Tightened - Houston, Texas

After 5 attempts to fix my refrigerator and trying to convince the repairman that 51*F is too hot for a refrigerator, my warranty company AHS is transferring the repair to another company to try and fix. The first time he came out he told me that the coils needed to be cleaned and that His company does not do that. I ended up having to lift the refrigerator up and clean it myself. Each time the repairperson came out, he tried replacing another part. Of course the part always had to be ordered, and I had to wait for the part to come in, missing 2 days from work each trip. The scheduling of this company is ridiculous too they call and ask if you will be available a certain day then won't give you a 4 hour window until the night before. https://www.fsis.usda.gov/wps/portal/fsis/topics/food-safety-education/get-answers/food-safety-fact-sheets/safe-food-handling/refrigeration-and-food-safety/ct_index/!ut/p/a1/jVFdT8IwFP0r8AAvpLQ4IGBCzFwkgLIJUxl7IWW7-0i2dnbFob_eMh6YBpT2pb33nJ5zbrGLHewy-hGHVMac0eRwd_sbsiD9ztAgM2vYGZOp-bawHg2DDOyeAqz_AJjalfwLSyf_8WdXCNyIuTEPsZtRGaGYBRw7IUhEWV6AyLETcO6jnAYgP1FAPYnyCECqxqGGym5EmZ_ELMSOgEDEIYhyQuoNH1Xo2PHkJmY-7PEKuz-tkY7aU1Ozu5OZqRGr-xtwZnZHwOXhqPRhwrflR611ttUGKqZyCAJEeydUOZIyu22QBimKor1VCdoeTxskByq86O59FAFNZNTyIaNCpsBk6xSQi5aENDscdwKaufBG0wdkl9R7vm-OreVcVcwXe3lOP-K5xE5V9xzq6ESp01RN_GindrJTq9qpVezgLH11vp70CYmf09VA9tZ6vf4NC3Viiw!!/#4 read more

Terrible customer service. Got stuck with them with my home warranty company (American Home Shield). It took me over a week to get a hold of them, I left several messages and was never called back. I finally had AHS call them on my behalf, and of course someone answered right away. Technician came to my house. Still waiting for the quote and price. It has been three weeks. I have called several times and left several messages. Someone has yet to call me back. AVOID. Use a different home warranty company too. read more

Worst company ever!!! They came to my home 4x yet I still have a broken refrigerator and spoiled food, then they past the job off to someone else's instead of admitting they couldn't do the job. Do not use them!!! read more

Another American Home Shield nightmare with this company. It's been nearly a month since they say they ordered a part to repair my refrigerator, and I'm still waiting. Called Hot Shot today and they told me they don't have the part. Called AHS and they told me the part has been delivered to Hot Shot and they don't understand why the repair hasn't been done. If AHS assigns your repair to Hot Shot, ask them to assign it to someone else. And it's fitting that Hot Shot is located on Fantasy Drive. It's like they're a make-believe company. read more

I truly wish I could give this company a 0. Unfortunately this is the company our home warranty chose to come help fix our broken dishwasher, but hours later after they're supposed to be here no one will answer the phone. The fact that it seems like a home run business (based on the photo provided) makes sense that they'd only have a couple of employees, but seriously! Actually call and let people know if you're coming or not! Completely 100% dissatisfied with this company and I hoe my home warranty service drops them. read more

Not reliable nor concern. It has been 5 days and I have not seen nor heard from them about my refrigerator and get this. My order was expediated by American Home Shield. They are another company you can't reach without being put on hold for an hour or more. This is the poorest company I have had to deal with, Wish I saw the reviews first but is canceling them now. read more

This company was dispatched to be through American Home Shield for a repair on my Jenn Air fridge. They have literally been to my house 8 times for repairs. Every time they touch the fridge, another problem occurs. DO NOT call these guys for service, and if recommended by your warranty company, request someone else! read more

AHS assigned our dishwasher issue to this outfit. Two so-called techs turned up 3 days later, JULIO + 1. It quickly became apparent that they did not know what they were doing. The lead guy started telling my wife that she had been putting the detergent in the wrong place. We have been using this dishwasher for 16 years from new. I then stepped in and told them that we were not getting a warm and fuzzy feeling about their ability to fix the dishwasher. At this point, the lead guy started using profanities and acting in a threatening manner. I got my phone to call the police. They ran out the front door, jumped in their van, and drove over the front grass on their way out. I got a photo of one of them and the license plate. I then filed a formal complaint with American Home Shield. DO NOT USE THIS OUTFIT. THEY ARE INCOMPETENT, RUDE AND POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS. read more

My home warranty company dispatched Hot Shot to fix a broken icemaker. Specifically, the freezer was getting warm and melting the ice, then getting cold again and freezing it all into a blob. They came to my house 6 times to fix the problem. 6 times! Each time it was the same young kid who clearly had no clue what the problem was. He just guessed a different part to replace every time. I questioned this kid like I'm no expert but it seems to me replacing the motor that pushes the ice forward, or the part that forms the ice cubes has nothing to do with ice melting. On the 6th attempt he called his supervisor and I thought finally a competent person knew how to fix it. I travel a lot for work, so by the time I noticed it was still getting warm in the freezer I was outside my 30 day recall period which means I have to pay another $75 service visit fee. It's even worse now, getting so warm that all the food is melting too not just ice. The home warranty company tried to dispatch them again but I insisted on transferring to another contractor. This one pulled off the rear panel, something Hot Shot never did and showed me frost buildup all over the evaporator coils. Says this has probably been the problem the entire time just getting worse slowly. read more
