This bottle of hot sauce was a bit of Yelp swag from a recent event. It sat for a bit until scrambled eggs for breakfast and I'm thinking, "Gosh, these are nicely cooked but bland. What could I... Oh yeah! My Elite Heat sauce!" A few dots later and I have deliciousness on a plate. The label on "Five Star Fire Elite Heat Hot Sauce" says 15,000 Scoville unites which compares to regular Tabasco at 2,500 to 5,000. I'd call this "firmly hot" and because it's not just regular peppers but smoked and dried, there's some strong flavor with it. Delicious stuff and happy to enjoy it on eggs for now and we'll see where else it perks up my meals as we continue through the bottle. I'll think of our CM Ashley F. every time! So I'm in oil and gas, and with prices tanking, I have a lot of spare time on my hands. I'm working on a project that involves Hot Sauces, so I called Jacki with Hot Sauce Harry's which is still showing a Dallas location. I asked her if I could shoot on over and peruse her stuff and she was like sure, where you coming from, I said Uptown, and she replied, where is that. I'm like, north of Downtown? Then she realized that they are now in Florida and no longer in Dallas, and we figured it out. She sent me a really cool PDF of her sauces, I ordered about ten bottles, she swears by her peach salsa, she was sincerely the nicest person I have ever dealt with in retail. She shipped my stuff which used to be her stuff and totally made my day. The prices can't be beat and I can't wait to try her stuff that is now my stuff and write another review. Got a bottle of sauce from a Duck's game (Anaheim, CA) that had a "Prudential" label on it. I have 8 different bottles of sauce in the fridge, but I got straight to that little blue label Prudential every time. Very good, thanks for the promo bottle. read more
