My mom made an appointment with Wah, the store's owner, whom she usually uses for her dipping manicure. The last appointment she'd had was with Wah's brother, and although the job was OK, it was not as good as what Wah does. When she arrived, she was addressed by Wah's brother as if the appointment were with him. She showed him a nail that had come off, and he was snotty with her and reprimanded her for not coming in early enough. 1. She works with Wah, and he was out of the country. 2. She had broken her arm and coming in was not an option. 3. Fix the stupid nail and move on. She also asked if he could work around her broken arm since she would not be able to put her hand up on the table. He came unglued again and was nasty, so she left. Additionally, Wah the store owner came upon the situation and didn't address his brother's tantrum by simply saying, "I can take care of that." Based on the petulant responses to other reviews, I have no delusions that that store owner or his brother will care about this. My mom's business is of no value to them. Even so, there's an old maxim, "When I'm happy with a service, I tell all my friends. When I'm not, I tell everyone I see." Hence, this Yelp review. Finally, I took my mom to a place in Wichita that treated her with kindness and graciousness. When I made the appointment, I asked if there would be any issue working around Mom's broken arm, and they said, "Oh, my, of course not," and there wasn't. Pretty standard nail salon. The place was clean and the staff was friendly. The tech that did my nails (unfortunately didn't catch his name) did a very thorough job taking care with the corners. Didn't have an appointment but walked in the store because the sign on the window said walk-ins welcome. Got a few weird looks and then finally someone asked if they could help me. When I asked if they could soak off my gel polish and just do a regular manicure they proceeded to look at me weird and tell me that they were all booked for the day. I understand having an appointment and or calling ahead is maybe how things are done here... but in this instance I was just in town for the day and had a nail crack and break and was hoping for a quick fix. No such luck here. Better luck to all you Dodge City folk that try and go here. P.S. to the owner. Please try and be a little more direct next time you are addressing a customer. Terrible. I brought my service dog in with his tags and vest and the owner was so rude about him. It's like he was looking for a fight.

Rude people. If you give show up as doors open, they say they are much too busy. Only one car was there, no chairs are being filled. The sign says "Walk ins welcome" but not so much. This is the third time I have tried to get in for a fill at opening time. Never gotten one. Not robe bias, but EVERY salon in Dodge City is the same way. read more

I like this place a lot because they are always very very good about cleanliness. I do not want to worry about catching something when I go get my nails done. They are quiet and sometimes short with you if you don't have an appointment but if you have one it's never a problem. And they are always busy because they are very good.
