Super location, if you are lucky or ask (and pay) for it the rooms have a great little terrace overlooking the town. Rooms are clean and quiet when you close the terrace doors and turn on the airco. read more

We drove awhile trying to…read morefind a parking spot and finally found one outside of the center of town across from the Hotel Llané Petit. It was the off-season and they were understaffed so no waiter service at their bar and nothing by the glass. They did let us hang out on the terrace / patio with our wine (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/TUog536fulBBjo7dndvLTQ?select=IKETN8M_yv-atoBqvrSLug) and we enjoyed the sunset with views over the bay (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/TUog536fulBBjo7dndvLTQ?select=bGn83JVzNURfaE2E6QSk7Q http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/TUog536fulBBjo7dndvLTQ?select=U_1pFosgr7syqyKf7F2MNA)
This place ROCKS!…read more The view is fabulous, the staff are excellent, the beach is awesome! Location is a bit out of town but just far enough to be secluded, 4 minute walk to the first restaurant. You cannot go wrong here.

This hotel is fantastic. It's ideally situated right in front of a little beach that has views of…read morethe whole town. It has free wifi and an amazing breakfast that is included with the cost of the room. It also has its own parking garage for a minimal 10 euro fee (which is convenient since parking in this town is next to impossible). The rooms are clean and fresh, with friendly staff and an overall nice feel. Even the pool is big, with a separate hot tub, a poolside restaurant, a grass area and a peaceful ambiance. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip!

Rocamar
This was one of only two hotels on Trip Advisor that had rooms available in August. While Cadaques…read moreis very small, this place was at the "edge" of town, which basically means about a 15 minute walk and fairly dark at night for the last few minutes. Driving in can be fairly, uh, "exciting." If you survived the narrow roads on the mountain pass, you drive to the sea, turn right at the Dali statue and creep through down on a tiny one-way lane among the pedestrians. At one point, you drive through arches right on the seawall itself. I am sure that waves splash over the road from time to time, so be patient and careful! I think our room was #318(?) which was around back with literally zero view. It was fairly large, but with the exception of the recently refurbished large bathroom, it just felt "old." The room had these old varnished slab doors that reminded me of elementary school and looked like they were installed in the '70s. The saving grace was that the breakfast was quite elegant and the views of town were superb. If I were to do it again, I would search a little harder to find something closer to the center of the village. Definitely wish that I had more time for Cadaques!

Ubaldo has for me, the most important attributes: it's very clean, it's air-conditioned, breakfast is included and the beds are comfortable. Beyond that, it's very basic but meets all your needs.... ...except there is no elevator, so if you're on the second floor, like we were, you've got 41 steps to deal with several times a day, including carrying luggage. The parking garage is really difficult unless you're parking a Smart car, or a motorbike. In the late afternoon, the restaurant next to the Hotel sets up five tables in the middle of the street. It is delightful to sit there and enjoy a meal or glass of wine. In all, it's a good little place offering good value for the money.
It's a nice enough hotel. I have all the basics, at my fingertips and it's even got a decent…read morebalcony. But I have to admit that I miss having an elevator. Also the hotel is all tile floors; the halls, the steps, the rooms, EVERYTHING is tile floor. So when people come back to their rooms at night, especially drunk girls in click-clacking heels, everyone can hear them. EVERYONE!! However, it's got soundproofed windows which really prevent street noise from coming in. The front desk person was friendly and helpful. The hotel is listed as a one-star hotel, but I would actually say it's at least a two-star.
