Der Markt an sich in Sindelfingen ist gut. Leider hatte ich negative Erfahrung mit der Küchenabteilung. Bin extra von weit her angefahren und wir hatten alles geplant und fix gemacht. Da die Küche nur im umkreis von 30km geliefert werden kann war klar dass ich sie selber abholen werde. Ist auch ok. Paar Tage später erhalte ich dann von der Küchenabteilung eine Mail, dass ich die Lieferkostenpauschale in Höhe von 195€ trotz meiner Selbstabholung zahlen soll und diese nun in Lagerpauschale umbenannt werde. Ärgerlich ist, dass das erst im Nachgang erfunden wurde und vorher nie davon die Rede war. Das Ergebnis der Diskussion war, dass Hornbach das Angebot zurück zieht. By the looks of it you would think Hornbach was German for home depot. Everything is the same! I like the wide aisles and everything is marked. OBI is down the street and is where everyone goes. Probably because they haven't been here yet. They have an actual parking garage...novel concept! It's also cheaper and has a better selection. PLUS they take MasterCard. read more

The price for the item I wanted was right on par with online stores. The staff was friendly and helpful. My husband speaks German fairly well, but the staff was also very able to help in English. The item I wanted was available through their store, but had to be ordered. They even went so far as to help me order the item, and I just got an email that the item was in store when they said it would be, in 2 workdays. I had to pay for the item at full price, but the staff said to bring in the form when I picked up the item and they would refund the VAT at that time. read more
