I was disappointed in the service.
I speak German fairly well; my wife does not. When we arrived, we were asked if we had reservations. We didn't. We were told we could sit along an elevated bank, but there were only two other tables available, none on one of the windows. As other guests came in, we didn't hear her ask anyone else if they had reservations, and by the time we left, therer were at least two window tables that hadn't filled up, so apparently we could have had a window seat after all.
We were asked what we'd like to drink. We placed a drink order. Later when we got the printed menu we saw that there was quite an array of available drinks, but gee, now it was too late because we'd already placed our order. Then just a minute or two after getting the printed menus, we were asked for decisions. We needed more time; I needed to translate for my wife, and some menu words I didn't know. The waitress came back, pressing us for our order. A little rushed, we ordered.
Then after dinner we were asked if we wanted dessert. I asked to see the dessert menu, which I had glanced at when we had the printed menu earlier. We were refused the printed menu, but instead were given an oral presentation of what was available. I had the impression that the oral listing was less extensive than what was on the printed menu. I got disgusted and left.
I left the waitress only minimal "Trinkgeld," tip, and that did not help us get a friendly departure.
So, like other reviewers who've written in German, I found the service "unhöfflich," and I suggest avoiding this place.
