You can also watch online. They have Wednesday night Bible study on the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm. There Highlands Kids program is great. This is one of the reasons I attend. My daughter loves going to her class on Sunday's. She learns about God and she receives a take home bag with the activities she did as well as reinforcement for at home.

But they do a good job of making you feel welcome and making it feel like a small church. The best way to get to know people is by joining a small group. There are a ton from which to choose. Most are organized by age group but there is more than one per age group so if you pick one that you don't love there are others to choose from. You are encouraged to try several to find one that is a good fit. There are three services from which to choose, 8, 9:30, and 11. Pastor Buddy is the lead pastor and he really is the kindest, most caring man. Every week he tells us he loves us and I believe him. He's a good speaker and he makes it easy to pay attention to him. The building itself is really nice and well cared for. The children's area is adorable and looks like something out of Disney World. There's kids church for grades 4 to 6 which is a nice option for preteens. And there's a whole separate building for the teenagers. There are lots of options for Wednesday nights for the whole family including dinner for a small fee for those that want to eat at the church. Plenty of parking, including shuttles to take you right to the building if you have to park further than you care to walk. But there is a parking area near the church for guests and there are staff members waiting who will help get you and your kids situated. I hope if you are reading this, you will give Hunter Street a try. You just might find it's the right church for you!

Christian, large ACTIVE well run youth program, bible study at the church, option for small groups. We found everything we asked for right here. Like pastor Buddy said, "Please find a church home. If Hunter Street isn't for you please find somewhere else, but find somewhere." What a great place. Lets start with youth and move up. Birth -5th grade A really cool innovative check-in/out system on the computer to safe guard your little ones as they move through the "Bug's Life" looking tunnels(hallways) to the age specific class room. 6th-12th Once your child gets to 6th grade they move across the parking lot to the youth building. Rock climbing wall, pools tables, ping pong, fusball, and basketball. 2 different areas for highschool and middle school. And a juice bar. Adults 2 stories of class room for bible study Book store/coffee shop Lots of coffee selections and a very large amount of books for purchase. A massive sanctuary and a cozy chapel.

House of Hope serves the local community in several very important ways. HoH also hosts Bible studies, healing prayer sessions, and praise & worship groups throughout the week. Finally, it gives people who have the desire to see women learn to love God and themselves a place to volunteer and to donate essential funds. If you are in need of prayer, healing, or need help finding your "direction" in life, or if you are looking for a worthy local 401(c)3 non-profit to support, House of Hope is an excellent place to start. Located in the bottom floor of a former residential house, House of Hope is very cozy, is full of chairs and couches, has a full kitchen, and bookshelves overflowing with books that anyone is welcome to borrow. There is always a pot of fresh coffee brewing and there is usually someone there to pray with/for you. Or, if you just need somewhere to meet with a friend or have a small group Bible study, HoH is there.

Green Valley is one of many Baptist churches in Hoover but what helps them stand out is the overly friendly staff and members of the church. Nobody gets up close to you, they simply give you warm welcomes and nobody is forced to introduce themselves if they do not want too!
