You've got a steady stream of people heading to Tahoe, Kirkwood, Silver Lake, and the rest of the Sierra, plus a community that's packed with youth sports. This place should be absolutely crushing it. Instead, walking through the front doors feels like someone hit pause in 1994 and never came back. I swear I hear grunge music every time I walk in. Not over the speakers... just in my soul. I'm always expecting someone to ask if I need help finding a VCR head cleaner, a new pager clip, or directions to the nearest Blockbuster. If RadioShack and Sports Authority had a baby that refused to acknowledge the last 30 years of retail, it'd probably look like this. The funny part is, this store has so much potential. It should be the place where everyone stops before heading to the mountains because they forgot propane, hiking socks, fishing tackle, snow gloves, or a football mouthguard for Saturday's game. Instead, it has the energy of a retail museum. The only thing missing is a "Please Rewind" sign hanging over the register. The staff has always been friendly, which is why this isn't a one-star review. I just wish corporate would realize they've got a gold mine sitting at the gateway to the Sierra and give this place the glow-up it's deserved for about three decades. Until then, I'll keep expecting to find a stack of Blockbuster membership forms next to the checkout.

Contact the company and find out it hasn't even shipped yet. They say "we have a 3-4 day period before we even ship". Then why do you insinuate, and you do, when you order you can pay extra to get it FedEx in 3 days. Not good business. If my products is not here by Monday I will be canceling with a full refund. I would not recommend.

I thought I'd miss the window to pick up a Glock amidst the recent ban, but this store gave me an explanation and scenario where I could still purchase and pick up timely. I know they were still making a sale, but it was nice to feel like they were willing to properly inform me of what I actually needed to purchase and the timelines I needed to meet. After living in Nevada for a few years, the California laws take some readjusting to. I would say I "would" be back here for another purchase, but I'd be surprised if one of my next two firearms purchases aren't from here. Would definitely recommend at least stopping by and seeing what they have (I'm a sucker for used/old guns...)

If you join the club you might get a chance to shoot at the 500 yard and 1000 yard when you join the ranks of bring qualified to join the ranks it is the only range i will go in the area. Together we've been to an indoor range in North Highlands that ai frequent, and the Mather shooting range before it closed. We came out here on a Sunday after so she could test out her new pistol, and so we could my rifles on the rifle side of the range. We checked in the main shop area, and picked up a speed loader and extra disposable ear plugs. And then eventually went out to the pistol range first. Both the pistol and long gun range alike, have a large number of shooting bags each. And each have a good range distance for shooting, wapwxially the rifle range. Definitely will be coming back for more outdoor shooting, and look forward to some long range shooting as well.

Knowledgeable and friendly staff/owner (not sure) are far superior to the help you get if you drive to town (Stockton). Hopefully this will prompt other V.S. residents to patronize this shop and support this small business. Will likely add the fifth star after they have more in stock.
