Was fun have a beer and watching old shows with Roy Rogers and listening to live music. The apps were great and the service was awesome.

The place has a really laid-back dive bar vibe, which is exactly what makes it great. The drinks are affordable, the bartenders are quick even when it gets busy, and the crowd is always a mix of locals and people just out having a good time. Tonight the energy was exactly what you'd expect for St. Patrick's weekend in Savannah -- packed, lively, and just a good time overall. It's the kind of place where you pop in for one drink and end up staying longer than you planned. If you're bar hopping on River Street or just want a casual spot with good vibes and strong drinks, Pour Larry's is always worth the stop. We ordered Glazed salmon with pilaf rice and garlic broccoli. Also, The Feast which includes fried oysters, shrimp, catfish, fries and coleslaw. Pink lemonade. I didn't taste the garlic but I love broccoli so much that it was still good. The right amount of crunch. Fluffy pilaf rice that was tasty. Like actually good. I enjoyed the glazed salmon, cooked to perfection. There was no complaints at all pertaining to the well seasoned, crispy fried everything lol oysters, shrimp , fries and catfish. Good service and nice place to sea the ships sailing by while enjoying your meal. Nice clean bathroom. I do have a suggestion: inform the patrons ahead of time they may have to go upstairs to dine. You start out with a choice of bread, followed by lettuce, tomato, and French dressing, bacon and cheese. Minus the bacon and cheese of course course the sandwich was actually quite good. You get a very nice piece of salmon cooked the way you want it and it did not have that fishy taste or smell. You also get a choice of sides unfortunately they forgot to include my potato salad side. To kick off the lunch, I went with their clam chowder with potato. This was pretty good with a good amount of clams, but it was a tad on the salty side.

It's a really pretty, sunny room with a few different seating areas (bar, upstairs, main seating, sidewalk, etc.) just a short Uber (or middling walk) from Downtown. Reasonably priced and totally worth your trip over to check it out. Might be my best breakfast of the year so far, and it's December! Short rib hash bowl was both moist and crispy, just the right side of too salty and had some real zing. Umami, for sure! Yum (my mouth's watering just thinking of it a couple days later)! My wife loved her inexpensive (but perfect) waffle and bacon and her hot toddy was pretty inspired. I grabbed a piece of gingerbread cake for the plane home and that proved to be an inspired idea. Tyla took great care of us, whirling around all the other tables and other staffers. Wow, but the place is hopping. Looking at the inspired menu and especially all the baked goods and shakes, well - right then we made up our minds that we HAD to return to Savannah - to eat more of this! I'm glad I don't live nearby: I'd be as big as a house.

On this visit, I just explored the hot dog side of the house. I ordered the chili cheese hot dog and fries meal. The employee taking my order also appeared to be responsible for preparing the orders in the kitchen. My order took about twenty minutes to appear at my table after paying. The all-beef hot dog was hearty and filled me up. The French fries were a different type than I am used to receiving, but they were delicious. There is an electronic ax-throwing game in the restaurant, which was closed, so I did not experience that. Crave is located in the middle of what I call a SCAD block of dorms and classrooms. This visit was a couple of days after graduation so the place was not full. Nothing bad to report, I may try some BBQ on a later visit.

The iPhone GPS brought us to the back side of the building, but we eventually found the entrance across from the former Ghost Coast Distillery. It was so quiet you could hear a pin drop inside (no background music). I was surprised to see an axe throwing lane! And a wall of beers on tap. There were few other patrons dining at the time. This is an order at the counter and they bring your food out joint. It took about 15-20 minutes to prepare our one to go meal. My husband ordered the pulled chicken sandwich, which came with fries and a choice of side. He opted for the coleslaw. They offered us a complimentary cookie which I enjoyed on the way out. The to go order was served in a paper box and a paper bag. No napkins or utensils were given (this is the new "green" initiative businesses are doing, which I appreciate). By the time we got home to eat, my husband said the sandwich was great but needed more sauce. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. They mentioned there will be a grand opening party in coming days. I am glad to see this area of the historic district being built up with hot & new businesses!

Recently, we visited Chabela, 102 E. Broad St. where we enjoyed a variety of dishes and beverages. Our starters included a delightful grilled romaine salad, which was a first for our group and quickly became the table's favorite -- simply outstanding. The ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant, with lovely decor and music that was appropriately subdued, enhancing our dining experience. The table settings contributed to a comfortable atmosphere. We sampled the Georgia cheese platter, featuring an excellent selection of cheeses paired with pepper jelly, honeycomb, and candied pecans. The pairings complemented the cheeses beautifully, and the fresh, soft faccio was particularly impressive. For beverages, we enjoyed the Amethyst Blueberry Ginger Mint on Ice, a non-alcoholic drink that was refreshingly zingy and palate-cleansing, along with a classic lemonade. For dessert, we shared the crème brûlée, which was simply exceptional -- a highlight of the meal. However, the sweet tea served was not as sweet as expected. Our waiter, Anthony, was friendly and pleasant, though his presentation was somewhat lacking in professionalism, which was noticeable given the restaurant's upscale ambiance. Our main courses included a shrimp and risotto dish that exemplified excellence. The risotto was perfectly cooked, with a creamy, bright, and light sauce, and the shrimp and vegetables paired harmoniously. The seared grouper served on a bed of spinach with dill lemon cream was another standout; the fish was cooked to perfection, and the sauce complemented the dish without overpowering it. The presentation was appealing, and every element was thoughtfully prepared. We also enjoyed the maize or hummus with grilled vegetables, which was delicious. The vegetables were roasted to perfection, and the deep-fried flour component added a delightful crunch -- though its name escaped us, it was a memorable addition. The grouper cakes, however, were disappointing, as only one was served despite the menu listing it as an "S" portion meant for sharing. The cake was somewhat spicy and not as shareable as anticipated. Additionally, the smashed potatoes fell short -- they were lukewarm and lacked the expected flavor. Overall, Chabela provided a wonderful dining experience with numerous standout dishes. Our group looks forward to exploring more of Savannah's culinary scene and sharing our critiques.

We stopped by with a reservation early on a weekend evening. Their second floor had been reserved for a wedding event and I can see why - the venue is spacious, with gorgeous lighting and a relaxed ambiance. We made our way to our table in the main room. Our waiter soon introduced us to the menu, and we got the Bella Focaccia to share. I decided on the mushroom pappardelle and my cousins got the shrimp risotto. The focaccia came out first - the crunchy texture pairing with the olive and ricotta taste was divine. I absolutely loved the creamy, rich base of the pappardelle pasta. I opted for shrimp in the pasta which went so well with the mushrooms. It was a sizable portion, I probably would have been full with just half of it! We greatly enjoyed our visit here - I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting this beautiful city! It's close to some gorgeous parks that we were able to explore after our delicious meal. Till next time!
