The sauce recipe seems to have changed and is far too sweet now, the turkey meatballs simply aren't as good as the ground turkey used to be, and the portion size has shrunk considerably all while the price has almost doubled. Honeygrow is delicious and I enjoy ordering from here. My food is usually pretty good and made the way I requested. Be cautious though, sometimes they forget your sauce, especially if you get it on the side so make sure to check your food before leaving. Honeygrow has an app which is pretty cool. You get $5 to use when you join and you earn points with every purchase. You can pay via the app by loading your card onto it or on their computers in store with the barcode from the app. I love how fresh the food always is and the variety of toppings you can add. One other thing I don't really care for is when you pay an up charge on a topping and they only give you a tiny bit. That's not cool at all. My husband paid 80 cents for pineapple in his stir fry and literally had about 2! So just check your items prior to leaving! read more

SO EXCITED that Honeygrow is now on GrubHub because we can make office lunch orders now!! It annoys me that you have to download their honeygrow app to place orders online, so I'm glad their on GrubHub. One app is enough for me. I love doing their CYO bowls, the options are great. You get about 7-8 shrimp in a bowl, their broccoli is warm and buttery, and my favorite sauces are the soy five-spice and spicy garlic. Although please don't get the garlic if you have to talk to people for the rest of the day... Their honey bowls are messy and delicious, but it's hard for me to justify a $7-8 cup of fruit. However, their homemade focaccia bread is to die for. Try popping it in the microwave for 5-10 seconds before enjoying! Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the price. You could end up having a pricey lunch if you keep adding stuff, and their portions aren't the biggest. Plus I think their juices are overpriced because they're only 12.6 ounces and they cost $6. I have mixed emotions about Honeygrow and I don't think I will return. The points below detail the 3+ visits I have made to this location and the pros/cons. Price: $10 for a measly take out carton of essentially lo mein? I'll pass. The order I get is $10 and the portions are simply too small to justify the price. I wish they had more budget friendly options. Quality/Food: Better than other places. They locally source most of their food and proudly display where it comes from but this comes with a hefty price. I also think that have some of the best beef around. However, they are inconsistent with their playing and I have frequently seen items missing from my order (see below). Also, the amount of sauce is hit or miss. Some days, there is a giant soup of sauce at the bottom of my bowl, other days there is hardly any and very bland. They definitely need more consistency here. The app: A complete fail. I placed my order last nice and it said it would be ready in 15 minutes. 30 minutes later I was still waiting on my food. Simply not as quick as ordering in store and defeats the purpose of the app. Employees: Hit or miss. Some days the employees are fantastic (i.e. lunch time) but other days around dinner the employees look overwhelmed and miserable. Sad. Definitely one of my go-to near the Hopkins campus. I love the concept where ordering is self serve on a computer - definitely makes ordering efficient. They have healthy options. The food is made fresh and very delicious! I have been here numerous times and never been disappointed with the food! They have a point system using your phone number. They also have an app where you can pre-order your food - however, the last 2 times I tried to order on the app, it was having technical issues and I was not able to order. I know that most people eat here because it's advertised to be convenient, but I waited 45 minutes for food and they got my order wrong, so I think it was rather the opposite of "convenient". I ordered the same Sweet Soy 5 Spice Sauce with egg noodles and broccoli and onions. My protein choice was again shrimp and added extra shrimp. My friend got Sesame Garlic sauce with egg noodles chicken and beef. Our portions were smaller here than at the Philly one. I adore honeygrow! I stumbled upon this place craving a really good salad near campus one day before class. I found myself here. honeygrow serves stir-fry, salads and honeygrows. I like that you can alter pre-existing salads to fit your liking. For instance, my favorite is the Cobb salad but I switch the base (the lettuce) for the spring mix and not romaine. I also like that they put the dressing on the salad for you. Usually I would like to put my own dressing on salads if they do a GREAT job and I never need more. The portions are large for the price. I've ordered from this location on 3 separate occasions and something is always missing from my order. All 3 times I paid for extra sauce but did not get any on the noodles or on the side. I don't understand. On the second occasion my coworker shared her sauce. Its not what I wanted but the noodles would have been dry otherwise. Sunday, May 15th, a group order was placed for pickup. It was under the name Melanie Baldus. I got the CYO Stir Fry(egg white noodles) with scramble eggs, curly kale, scallions, mushrooms, and cilantro and spicy garlic sauce with and extra spicy garlic sauce. Needless to say the sauce was missing and I was hoping the third time would be a charm, but it was not. The rice bowl was brown rice, chicken, egg, and a ton of veggies with spicy garlic sauce. I added yogurt, pineapple, strawberries, dried cranberries, and granola to my honey bar bowl. Can you tell I love garlic? I ate the noodle bowl first and it was good but not anything to write home about, although you can taste the freshness of all the ingredients. The next day I ate the rice bowl. Sooooo good y'all! That spicy garlic sauce is EVERYTHING! The honeybar was to die for as well. I am a little torn on this review. So I will get right in to it.... The prices are a little much for the little you get. We ordered yesterday (via Grubhub) and was surprised to get two quart containers of the food we ordered. High price aside... let's talk food! I got the Sesame Garlic bowl, with egg white noodles, beef, mushrooms, and broccoli. There were like all of 10 thinly sliced beef pieces in this whole meal. Tasted kind of like Byogi, but it was palatable. The spices that are in this kind of sneaks up on you for a delayed reaction. About halfway through my meal I got the sniffles... lol. The broccoli, 2 sad pieces cooked the heck, was at the bottom of the dish, mushrooms were not impressive either. This was a "healthy" option if you compared it to a burger from Five Guys, but when you cook the veggies this side of mush, and boil or steam the vitamins from it, there is not much "health" to it. Upside, the egg white noodles were tasty. I hope it was as advertised, and if so, I'd get the boodles again and just skip all of the rest. We also got the SPICY GARLIC, the only difference here was chicken instead of beef. And the amount of protein given was about the same... sparse. I know I know, this is a healthy thing, more veggs, less meats. Everything else was consistently similar to the beef meal, so what can I say? When ordering, I did so from their website, and the pictures are vastly different from what you get (surprise surprise, I know). First, the items pictured are actually in a BOWL and what we got was the quart size of Chinese takeout. If I had known, between the portions and the prices, I'd have skipped this and just ordered from our favorite Chinese place. At least here we'd have enough for a left over meal each. I come here a lot but I don't think I will anymore. I always pay for extra sauce (there is barely any in the regular bowl), and only get it about half the time. I see this happening to others too. Also, tonight I stood waiting to get my pickup order for 15 minutes while the person up front ignored me. My food was sitting there the whole time, getting cold. I also saw her handle money and then wrap up someone's piece of bread without changing her gloves. If she's doing that in front of customers, I can't even think about what happens without us seeing. Good work week lunchtime place! But not anything amazing. If you're craving Asian-style noodles (and I say Asian broadly), this is the place for you. I admit the ingredients are really fresh and tasty, but the portions could be bigger and the noodles needed to be cooked more. You can get a decent bowl for around $10, with add ons for a couple bucks more each. (I'm sure it's that price because it's organic, frou frou stuff.) Though the food isn't the greatest I was very satisfied with the customer service. The staff were really helpful to newbies to Honeygrow. On the bright side, happy there are more restaurants popping up around the Charles Village and Hopkins area. The neighborhoods really needed some new eats! read more

I order from this location frequently. It's normally good, but in the last month or so the quality has plummeted. Ordered a CYO and nearly a third of the ingredients weren't included. The salad bowl arrived half full, yet with a full dose of dressing. The spinach is literally floating in a pool of dressing. It's not edible. Okay. I wasn't expecting much as I had never heard of this chain before. My wife took me there and showed me the ropes. It was a bit pricey for a fast casual chain, but in the end, the food was worth it. I don't actually remember the name of the item I ordered, but it was basically a standard menu item and I didn't deviate from the additions offered. Thought to myself after I ordered that I should have gotten noodles vs. rice and didn't expect what was to come next. A flavor explosion happened that I can only describe as wonderful.
