She asks what you'd like to do with your hair and honestly tells you what works. She will then tell you step by step what her plan is BEFORE she cuts your hair so you know what she's doing. Her prices are very reasonable ($35 for a wash and cut). She gives great advice and doesn't overly push product (but I am completely addicted to the Milk_Shake line she sells). Her professionalism is wonderful. I really trust her with my hair. I'm a no fuss no muss type of person with crazy thick, wavy, and typically short hair. She was the first person I went to after getting sick of the trial and error of chains and has consistently given me great cuts that suit my needs and wants. My only advice- call ahead!

Stylist ends up needing to move appointment up a week due to them being out of town, totally fine, life happens. This week, the week of the moved up appointment, our cat ends up needing $1000 worth of medical expenses. Two days before the appointment we get a text with a link to confirm the appointment. We don't click link and reply "CANCEL" due to the unforeseen expense. Today, the day of the appointment, we get a message saying we have an invoice for a $200 cancelation fee... more than the quoted rate for the appointment that wasn't even confirmed. Neither the salon website nor the Vargo business profile note this as an action in response to an appointment cancelation regardless if it be confirmed or not. I don't know whether this situation is due to a miscommunication between this salon and Vargo, bad faith acting on the part of the stylist, or predatory business policies that aren't explicitly stated in any way by this salon. I do know that wherever the issue lay, it has lead to a customer experience I would call unacceptable and I am absolutely not paying the fee. TLDR; Getting charged $200 for a non confirmed appointment which is unacceptable.

I started seeing her several years ago per the recommendation of a friend who, with Shannon's help, let her natural grey grow out and looked phenomenal the entire time of her transformation. I wanted the same experience and Shannon did not disappoint. We started with cutting my hair a little shorter than usual - to just below my ear lobes. Shannon added lowlights to tone down the existing full head brown dye and let my natural grey/white areas work as highlights. Then she gradually cut off the brassy-blond left over from coloring and let my hair grow longer again. Now I have shoulder length grey hair with natural white-silver highlights and am loving it!
