The office chair was from Hon Co. and was not that old. It was very comfortable and well made. But it just plain broke. We contacted the Hon Company to see if the chair could be fixed. Apparently the chair was still under warranty. So Hon sent us a new replacement chair. Our compliments to Hon for excellent customer service and backing up their product. Very unprofessional and I would never recommend anyone I know to apply for this place. They are very inconsiderate of your time, knowing they are located at least 45 minutes outside of the quad cities, knowing that's were most of there employees are coming from. They had me driving back and forth just for the interviewing process. Drove back to check out the facility they said I'd be working at. Got a call the next day to them telling me, "someone else for the job so would you came back in for yet ANOTHER interview. Mind you I've been out there a whole week back and forth. So I told them yes. When I took the time and realize I'm wasting my time I skipped the interview, they called and I told them I completely forgot about it ans they said they would set another appointment up...I said no don'tdo it and that was that. So my phone rung about 4 times after that (unknown number to me) all they way up until 11 o'clock that night. So I finally picked up and a lady from the HON called and TRIED get smart with me saying....."why didn't you show up and the guy who called you earlier said you laughed in his fave when he said you missed the 3rd interview" so yes...I did get smart with this lady and hung up in her face because they told a BOLD FACE LIE!!! That's not even in my demeanor to talk or act like that towards people and anyone can tell you that.......so about 30 minutes later they sent me an email telling me they will never consider on hiring me in the future (furthering their harassment).....and I didn't care if they didn't.....knowing how they treated me then...I wonder how they treat their actual employees SMH Good news though...got offered a better paying job that same day that I still work at. read more

Did you think Hon file cabinets were made of steel only? Well so did I until it arrived in my house and I started to have an allergic reaction. To my surprise and dismay, I found particle board (formaldehyde off gassing) lining the entire back side- used as a counterweight. All vendor websites ( walmart, costco, staples) have metal or steel listed as the material. Hon website has nothing, yet they say it is in the materials and data sheet, that is not visible on the website. Since I purchased from Walmart, Hon will not help me. Now I have to round up friends to have this large item returned to Walmart. All because Hon did not disclose that they use particle board in all their file cabinets. It was interesting that none of the customer service reps I spoke to at Hon, Walmart or Staples knew that the product contained particle board. Very Sleezy maneuver Hon. Sadly, I can not buy their products. I hope you don't either. When you buy steel, you want ALL steel. read more
