I emailed Gordon's Furniture before placing my order to make sure that the item was in stock and could be delivered before Christmas. I was informed that it was in stock and would be delivered within 5 days of placing the order. So I placed my order. The next day I received an email to say that the item had been dispatched. A week later, nothing had a arrived, so I contacted them again to make sure it hadn't been lost in transit. They informed me that the item was out of stock and couldn't be dispatched until after Christmas.....after informing me that it had already been dispatched. I told them how appalled I was with their service, lies and attempts at removing customer's statutory rights and to refund my card immediately. I have received no response, but I did receive a full refund. Everybody makes mistakes, it's how you deal with those mistakes that differentiates your company. But failing to even respond is just shoddy. An apology, or a token gesture of some money off, or throwing in a cheap freebie, or anything like that could have prevented me from going out of my way to write negative reviews for this appalling company.
