There is a last-year chiropractor resident supervised by a supervising chiropractor. Supervision includes verbal review and video cameras in the treatment rooms. The charge is $100 for the initial assessment. A formal treatment plan is created. All treatments after that are free. You must be referred by a family doctor within the St. Michael's Hospital network.

For a downtown walk -in, the wait time to see a doctor is very fast. Doctors are great and will take time to listen to your issues. Now with COVID, you have the opportunity to send an email to have a doctor call you back and a doctor calls back within one hour! They can diagnose over the phone and even send emailed prescriptions to your local pharmacy. I really have nothing bad to say about this doctor's office and I truly think it's the best one in Toronto!!

After getting an actual family doctor I'm surprised to say I PREFER THE WALK IN. I never felt rushed, I really think Dr. Strigler and the other doctors were always professional and has my best interests at heart. Once when I was there, I had the beginning signs of an asthma attack and they quickly and calmly made sure I got to ER where I was taken care of. They got me through some other serious health concerns and were always quick to follow up. I don't know what else to say... Yes, they are clean. Yes, they are centrally located and close to TTC. Yes, you can pick up prescriptions close by. Yes, there's an elevator. Yes, they can draw blood right on site. Yes, there is a clean bathroom, but you need the key. Yes, you should go here. From the moment she stepped in the room, didn't introduce herself, no eye contact- went straight to my chart history and said she's seeing nothing wrong, why am I here today. I felt as if our presence pissed her off or probably she had a bad day- didn't have lunch IDK. Whatever it was, it was wrong on so many levels. I asked her to check my charts again as you can see my prolactin levels is more than 10 times the normal levels, then she said "oh" and proceeded to have a better attitude when she realized she made a mistake. I want people to understand that having 2nd and 3rd diagnoses (if possible) is safer than 1. Doctors are 1 part of the equation, the other part is -you. you have to be invested in your health and know what's going on yourself- research, Doctors have social media accounts- relay problems to them, sometimes they'll make a video or msg you directly.. there's plenty of options, just TRY, TRY, TRY and don't be afraid to ask questions. I could have had a very serious illness overlooked because somebody was having a bad day! Doctors are people too. I have the utmost respect for the profession- you can know when some people are born for it because their presence in itself is warm and inviting- this is different from being professional of which I experienced neither with this Doctor. Sorry she had a bad day but this behaviour is inexcusable and the company lost a patient because of this. Misdiagnosis is REAL and has caused countless lives of people who were loved, and have family who wanted them around. Then the doctor assigned to me, Dr. Calvin Lei came into the room and this is where everything downhill. He checked me for a mere 5 mins and diagnosed it as a viral infection. I asked him what to do next as I'm taking OTC medicines and his reply was "to do whatever I want to do". When you come to see a professional you defer to their expertise and have high hopes that doctors will help you heal. Well not Dr. Lei. When you're at your vulnerable times and hurting he will definitely rushed you and your illness/symptoms dismissed. Most likely will not even provide you with the answers to your problem. This experience further inflamed my deep frustration and dissatisfaction with our health care system.
