The sets they sell all have consistent designs and sizes - whereas some sets in the mercado can have some variations that make the sets look cheap. Great place to buy a gift.

They have great cookware and serving ware that's clearly high quality and finished by hand. Much nicer than what you'll find in the market or one of the general tourist stores. Of note they're cash only and since many of their bigger pieces are $1000 MX -- come prepared. Their shipping fees are pretty insane too. If you want to purchase from them, be sure to have some extra space in your suitcase.

It's a bit of a task to find but worth the journey! The manager is most personable and they carry exclusive authentic Cuban cigars. Great selection along with a small seating area inside although my favorite spot is their outside patio seating area with leather couches.

But this town is not as lovely as Guanajuato is from above though. To get there, walk down the street "El Chorro" to the end where there is a church. You'll see some steps going up- go up and just keep going up them. You'll probably have to stop for a rest along the way because even though it is a short distance, there are probably around 200 steps. Once you get to the top, turn left and the lookout is just there. The trip to get there will take you about 15-20 minutes from the central Jardin Allende. You could also take the street "Piedras Chinas" but it is narrow and used by traffic as well so not as safe. If you're looking for souvenirs, there is a crafts market across the street from the Mirador.
