If you're counting calories, carbs, vitamins, etc. this might not be a good store for you. The store was very clean and the staff was very friendly. Every time I am back home in Latrobe, I make sure to stop at Lapps Market at least once…read more Being owned and operated by a Mennonite family (originally from Lancaster, PA), they stock a lot of products that you would normally have to visit Lancaster to purchase. Bulk items, baking/cooking ingredients, pop, Lancaster chicken pies, ham loafs whoopie pies and more are available and always in stock. They also carry (one of my favorite things) Raw Milk! In addition to groceries, they sell decorative plants as well as garden plants along with outdoor furniture! And, as always, they provide fantastic customer service. The next time you're in Latrobe, do yourself a favor and definitely stop by Lapps Market!

Kind of throws you off. But that didn't stop me from going in here and grabbing what I needed and then getting on my way. I'm actually a little surprised that this place isn't any bigger than what it is given that they have some major competition around them now. Not only do they share a plaza with Kmart, but they have several other big box national stores nearby to contend with now. I wouldn't be surprised that within the next several months that they do some type of expansion soon.

The store layout was goofy, there was only one open lane, and the mixed check-out line consisted of people with cartloads of groceries, or several others clutching only a few items. No lane for 10 items or less. You had to pay for your cart, there was no one on duty to pack your bags, bags you had to purchase. They kept short business hours, closed on Sundays, and lights out by 7pm week nights. How does all of this add up to a successful business?! A business I just claimed to love? Its their products, prices, and continued growth that keeps me going back. I rarely come across a product that I consider below my standards. Aldi's is a great place to shop, even if it doesn't add up to the norms of what the grocery shopping experience was designed to be.

The associates are friendly and always try to help to the best of there abilities. The only downfall with this location is that they don't have heat or air conditioning. I always feel so bad for the employees because in the summer the doors are open and it is always scorching inside. The winter is the opposite, the employees have to wear coats because it is so cold inside. It always amazes me how pleasant the employees are even when they work in such conditions.
