It is almost impossible to leave an appropriate review for Holy Resurrection Monastery, because words cannot explain the experience. This a Byzantine Catholic monastery in Rural Wisconsin that offers a series of daily prayerful services, and guest accommodation for those seeking to pursue a retreat or to spend time in prayer and contemplation. The monks are very hospitable, and welcome guests to join them in prayer (though you do not have to). The monks also have a specially roasted coffee (humble habits), which they sell in the monastery shop. The chapel is beautiful, the food was very good, and it was nice to spend time at a place like this to rest and recharge. There are currently 7 monks at the monastery, and approximately 5 services a day that one can attend. There are also some nice walks to go on in the town which is surrounded by natural beauty. read more
