I'm new to the winter tires game in Germany, so I checked Yelp for a little help with this chore. We had just leased a car, and although the dealer offered to get OEM winter tires for the car, they would have cost 1,600 Euro, or something crazy like that. Holst & Pieper was recommended highly, and they have a handy online appointment tool on their web site. So I made an appointment (only had to wait a few days), arrived, and explained that I needed new winter tires (or wheels). The guy gave me a quick quote, which was about half the OEM price, and even less than the quote I'd gotten at Helm (another major tire company), so I agreed to place the order. A few weeks later I got a call that my rims and tires had arrived, so we made an appointment a few days later, and I brought the car in for the tire change. The whole thing took about 30 minutes, and I was out of there pretty quickly. Like many other vendors, H&P has a service that stores your summer tires when they're not in use, so I took advantage of that and just drove out with my new winter tires. Highly recommended. read more
