Somehow I have been given incorrect information that once I was living only on Social Security, I didn't have to pay taxes anymore, and when I found out that was incorrect, I freaked out because I hadn't filed a tax return the year before. Being new in town I had no idea where to turn because in my hometown my best friend had done my bookkeeping for me half of my life.
