Jones & Jones Attorneys at Law

I work for a local Chiropractor who has been in business in Longview for nearly 30 years and have…read moreonly had one dealing with this firm. I can tell you from that experience-- I would not personally use these attorneys for legal representation. We treated one of their clients after a car accident. They confirmed verbally two different times that they were representing our patient for the accident and would provide us with a letter of protection. During our patient's second visit (and only a matter of minutes after we had the second confirmation of representation) they decided to drop her case. They did not call us to inform us, they called the patient. Since they dropped her case AFTER treatment, the patient now has a bill that they cannot afford after an accident that was not their fault. I called the firm back to confirm this information and was treated as if this was just an everyday occurrence. We weren't issued any sort of apology or reason. I understand things happen that are out of our control, but If their standard business practice is to make assurances and then promptly change their mind-- I'm not sure I would trust them in the future. Needless to say, we will not be accepting any further patients with their representation. Poor business practices to say the least.

If you don't truly care about people or your clients, it will eventually show in everything that you do. Be kind. Have patience. If you need an attorney, do yourself a favor and call Dan Sorey. You will not be sorry. Mr. Sorey,…read moreor Dan as he prefers to be called, represented our family through both a court case and the appeal. I could spend time explaining how nice he and his staff are and how great they were during the pre-trial meetings, phone calls and emails, but that is the easy part of litigation. They were, in fact, GREAT during that period, but that means nothing if they aren't prepared to face the opposing lawyers and be able to understand the nuances of your particular case and explain them to a jury. Jury trials are hard, because two sides are presenting opposing information and a jury has to believe one and not believe the other. Trust me when I tell you, you want Dan Sorey telling the jury your side. He is nothing short of amazing in-front of a jury! It is difficult to explain just brilliantly he presented our case. He rebutted not only the other side's witnesses, but the other attorney arguments with ease. He destroyed them. Completely. He had a plan, he worked the plan to perfection and was always at least 2 steps in front of everyone else in the room. If you need an attorney, call Dan. You will not be sorry. I, personally, can't thank him and his entire staff enough.
