Always letting my daughter know each set that was going to be taken to insure her and baby would be as safe as possible. Keeping her not only informed but keeping her at ease. But they also helped making her family that was there comfortable. Which made it easy for us to help comfort her as well. After my daughter gave birth, baby was also well taken care of. They really make sure with so much information for new parents and experienced parents make a smooth transition home. Cafeteria was in my opinion great. I didn't know hospital food changed so much since I worked in one. We did have a staff member tell us food was actually better a few months ago. But they probably don't have much experience with small town hospital food. Staff in Cafeteria were so nice. Cafeteria was clean everytime we went in(which was for all 3 meals). We didn't really feel need to leave to get anything to eat. I would recommend this hospital to any mother.

I like the fact that they set you up in a pre-op room so that you can spend time with family before you go into a procedure. Then once you get your medicine, if you're like me you would just pass out immediately. Lol . Just say loving words to your family before you go into your procedure is sooo important. You have to be part of Disney or on Disney insurance to use this facility. There is plenty of parking with accessible spaces near the entrance. Everyone inside was friendly and professional, and we were able to accomplish what was needed fairly easily.

Let me start off by saying that when you have cancer it is never easy, but everyone here really tried to do their best to treat us with respect, care and professionalism. There is not much these people can do to change your circumstances but they do try to make their part as painless as possible. Dr. Mekhail's administrative assistant, Teri, is incredible. She keeps a thousand balls up in the air at once and never drops one of them. She comes to the phone when you call, she sets up all of your appointments for their office as well as for scans and blood work or any other testing done outside of their office. She has incredible follow through and she knows who you are when you call or come in. Thank You Teri. Dr. Mekhail's nurse and now part of the protocol research team is Tammy. During the first few appointments Tammy showed such kindness, patience, grace and offered us so much comfort that we will be eternally grateful. She was also full of information and little tips of how to deal with what was going to be happening. Thank You Tammy. In the chemo room a special thank you to Robert and Mel and there was one other woman, a black woman who I apologize - I don't know her name, who treated my friend with such tenderness and warmth AND expertise. You all made the rigors of chemo palatable. Thank you. There are times you will wait. They are incredibly busy. My friend grew impatient at the wait at times, understandably so, she was usually in pain, exhausted, nauseous and anxious. For me, sitting in the chair next to her, I understood the waits. So, There but for the grace of God go I, if I were diagnosed with cancer tomorrow would I go to the Cancer Institute of Florida? Yes, I would. Thank you all for your care during a difficult time.

However Dr Applebee was warm, friendly, and had a great bedside manner. He patiently listened when I asked him questions and tried to do some sleuthing to figure out why my daughter had a high fever despite testing negative for everything. Urgent cares are limited in what they can do but he was very helpful in talking through the options. At the urgent care at home i am used to them doing a panel of RSV, strep, flu, covid, and rhinovirus. For some reason this urgent care doesn't do rhinovirus, and if they test for the other 5, they need to take 3 separate swabs whereas ours just goes 1 swab. So my poor daughter wasn't happy about that but the kindness of the doctor made up for it. He even gave her a rubber ducky as a little treat on the way out which beats the stickers at other places. If we are in the area again and need to go to an urgent care, we'd come here again! Especially in a place where there are so many urgent cares. Oh and I saw an X-ray room on the way out so that's another bonus to come here instead of an ER.

They are not there to give you an earnest diagnosis, they want to get you in and out the door as quickly as possible to cash in on your insurance. My brother in law went in with severe abdominal pain, extremely high blood pressure and heart-rate, a fever and several other conditions that were obviously severe in nature. They sent him home within a few minutes of looking at him despite the severity of his symptoms. Within 24 hours, he was dead. The hospital was shocked and confused as to how appropriate medical attention was not taken a day earlier. Keep in mind he was very young (40) and in good shape-- it was determined he had experienced organ failure over several days which ultimately killer him. How a "urgent care" could be so shockingly obtuse is more than incompetence or negligent. It's genuinely evil. I will be telling everyone far and wide to avoid this location at all costs, if they had done their job he would still be alive. Horrifying.

I have serious concerns about the safety and well-being of the patients who seek treatment here…read more After several days of complaining of abdominal pain, nausea and occasional fever and chills, and very rapid resting heart rate, my son stopped in on a Friday afternoon to have it checked out. When he was discharged, he was given a prescription antacid and recommendation to see a Cardiologist. He worsened overnight. In the morning, he was convinced to get to a proper Emergency/Trama Center. When his mother and I arrived at the ER, the attending Doctor explained that he was exhibiting signs of Sepsis. As they began the process to confirm with lab work, his heart stopped and the ER staff were unable to resuscitate him. MiniER's web page contains the statement, "The miniER in Waterford Lakes is not your typical urgent care." This seems ironically accurate to me. I believe that most typical medical providers would have immediately recognized the seriousness of our son's situation and called for an ambulance. Instead, he was treated for an upset stomach and released. It is an insult that this webpage requires at least ONE STAR rating!

Bathrooms are very clean and plentiful. I spoke with a random staff person here just asking how it is to work there and she gave me a glowing review, even to go so far as to walk me towards the hall with all the different branches of the hospital and give me a quick rundown of where each was located. My family member has a private room and all the staff have been very supportive and accommodating to her needs. The doctors seem knowledgeable and take their time with us. Granted our experience is just with a small sliver of this behemoth, but I would trust my care with these guys from what I've seen so far. Will update if anything changes.
