I booked her for a first birthday shoot for my baby boy, and the entire experience from email to day of to receiving the photos afterwards...it was perfect. Holly was so open to ideas, so patient and thoughtful during the shoot, and her assistant seriously bent over backwards just to get that perfect smile and laugh captured on camera! Her studio was neat and tidy, with lots of outfits and props on the side for outfit changes and changing things up. I just opened the sneak peak email I just received from the session, and now an emotional wreck. Holly's ability to artfully stage the sets, use of lighting, composition, and TIMING is incredible! Adorable 1 yr photo shoot! My son was teething the day of the shoot and I was worried he would cry through the entire alloted time. But Holly and her assistant expertly handled his mood and were able to distract him. They instructed us on how to get him to pose for certain shots (clapping, patty cake, etc) and it made all the difference. I was really impressed by how they were able to turn his mood around. Truly a hidden gem! I found Megan when I was looking for a photographer for my newborn daughter. I am quite picky style-wise and had a limited budget, after searching and searching I came accross her website and found out that her fee matched our budget and her works are wonderful. Amazing! Our baby was a preemie so we we're afraid he was going to be fussy and too small for photo session, but Holly and her mom were awesome! Our experience with Holly D photography was wonderful. From the second we reached the door and were greeted with a personalized sign, I knew that they were really focused on making this experience enjoyable. I used Holly D Photography for both my maternity and newborn photos. Pregnancy did not look well on me and she made me feel absolutely gorgeous. When I look back on these pictures I feel such joy, and Im beyond happy that I made the decision to get maternity shots. As for the newborn pictures I would recommend those as well. Your baby isn't your baby forever and to see how much he has changed from newborn to now amazes me. They were so kind and gentle with my baby and swaddled him like he has never been swaddled before. She should give lessons for that swaddle technique! I will be going back for our smash cake pictures and can't wait to see how beautiful they make those pictures! Such a great team to work with. Not to mention I forgot a blanket made by my grandma and finished by my mom for the first photo shoot. So she was able to get my son in for a few shots with my blanket for very cheap. read more

It was such a pleasure working with Holly and her mom, and we love our posed newborn session photos!
