I've been a patient of Dr. Bhatia's for several years now, and I also occasionally see Rosie the NP. I greatly appreciate their integrative approach to health and illness. My care as been intervention-based as well as prevention-based, and this as been a welcome change (for me) from the traditional sick-model of medicine. I feel the Dr. and NP spend the amount of time needed to address my issues, as opposed to a strictly timed session. They recommend quality supplements (and medicine when needed) for my age, gender and body chemistry. They also recommend as a prescription exercise/yoga, massage, etc., which works well for my flex spending account reimbursement criteria. I went here with high hopes. I found it it be incredibly over priced and yielded no results. Also, the office is not well run. I was told to come to an appointment for no reason, then after 30 minutes of waiting, just sent on my way with an apology. Meanwhile, if you are late for an appointment they automatically charge your card. Had to call multiple times about basic questions. Somewhat cult like feel. I have no idea what all the hype is about, after 1500 just to get in the door, I am none the wiser about any systemic issues. I have to admit that I have never felt better. Coming to this center has raised my awareness of how everything I eat and do impacts my body. After consulting with Drs. Bhatia and Grossman, I now have the tools to make informed decisions about my body. Yes, the testing can be expensive but it's worth it. I have been a patient at Atlanta Center for Holistic Medicine for three years. I have worked with Dr.Bhatia and each of the other practitioners at the office. I would like to emphasize that I have worked "with" them. At this office, I am seen as part of the team entrusted to help me reach optimal health and well being. My body, mind and spirit are considered when being treated with conventional and alternative therapies. Some of the reviews here have spoken of difficulties with staff and other problems. Every business has its hurdles. Any confusion or difficulty that I have brought to their attention has been heard and addressed. They listen. Dr. Bhatia believes that the whole person is made up of interdependent parts and if one part is not working properly, all the other parts will be affected.  She therefore uses her knowledge and natural intuition to create and share a plan of optimal health complete with short and long-term goals that make the journey seem possible. read more

I had good experiences with Dr. Taz, but her practice has grown tremendously adding 2 more MD's. My problem is with Dr. Grossman. I have never had a doctor not want to treat my UTI because I would not do lab work. I am a full time RN without health insurance??? More importantly, in June 2015 I was told by one of her representatives to take Unisom OTC for insomnia b/c I would not get dependent upon it. I had called to refill Rx for sleep aid. Dr. Grossman stated during my visit she never told me to take Unison??? Therefore they have medical assistants prescribing drugs without talking with MD's and midlevels. This is very upsetting because I developed RLS, irregular heart rhythm and dizziness as a result of taking Unisom. read more

Do you want to spend thousands of dollars traveling to a practice that talks about the importance of customized medicine and a warm and caring approach? If so don't come here! My original review was just and mysteriously removed to the Not Recommended area (scroll way down below to read it) despite my providing extremely specific reasons for my negative feedback. After I posted my review I received an email from the practice/Ally H. stating how sorry she was for my poor experience and that she wanted to speak with me. I wrote back saying that yes, I would like to speak with her and she gave me several dates and times. I wrote back and said I would try calling her today (Thursday, February 4) if she would provide a phone number. I never heard back from Ally and, when I went onto Yelp, I saw that my review had been moved. I guess that Ally felt that she didn't need to address my concerns since my review was moved? Hmmmmmm....not surprising given my experience with this practice. At least I can say more of the same - poor follow through and nonexistent client service. read more

I saw the NP Kristin. Krisitn is a good NP but not a doctor. She was nice but I was not impressed with the practice at all. They sell you so many supplements and can't help you find the root cause of the problem. I have no problem buying supplements if you sit down and explain to me what the cause of my health issue is . Dr. Bhatia appointments are $500 and not available for a year. She is so busy marketing her book and being on TV that she forgets to see her patients. You cannot A. afford her and B. see her for a year. I had no follow up from the office at all. I spend $500 and did not see even a 5% difference in my health. Over promise and under deliver. Watch out for all these tests with no empirical evidence that they add any value. If the service matches the savvy marketing, they have great potential. Nice presentation and positive impression managements but light on resolving mildly complicated medical issues. Be aware of a doctor who is invested to be more of a celebrity than and a service provider; they are practicing in gray area of ethics, pushing supplements and non-traditional tests with no disclosure in regards their relationships with labs and manufacturers. read more

I don't understand how Dr. Taz has the national recognition she has achieved with the staff that is employed at the clinic. Maybe she uses a PR firm for that. But her staff at the clinic do not inspire confidence. They are really young so maybe their lack of life experience is the problem, but they lack finesse, refinement and professionalism. Not impressed at all. Another health care provider that cares more about making money then caring for the patient. I did not feel heard. Walked away with a hefty bill and no new guidance. They 'plan' I was given was full of info I knew and 1/2 of the stuff I was already doing on my own! I just had a new patient visit with Dr Grossman and really enjoyed her! There were things I knew that she validated but also new things that she wanted to test for. Overall I enjoyed the visit and will be going for a follow up. However, I felt the rest of the staff to be a little rude. My appointment was one of the last ones of the day so maybe they were just ready to go but I waited AN HOUR for my appointment. My experience in the past with alternative medicine providers in other cities was they were extremely on time or called to let you know they were running late. CentreSpring should think of this as another patient left while waiting because she had to go. I also felt like every little thing they did cost money and again, I almost felt like an annoyance for some of the staff by just being there. They say that your first appointment will be 3-4 hours but they must be including wait time because I only got an hour with the actual provider. The rest of my 3.5 hours was spent waiting. read more

I had some really unfortunate experiences with other medical practices. I had multiple doctors treating me and they weren't talking to each other. This practice takes the approach that your body is a system and ensures that every factor is working in concert together. I agree with other reviewers that it can get pricey. I had a 10:45 am appointment. I arrived early and got in at exactly my appointment time. My first appointment did last awhile, but I was informed of that timeframe beforehand and I was in on time and out on time. Dr. Grossman is very concerned about her patients and takes enough time to find out what is really going on. Is it pricey? Yes. But so is being sick for years because your insurance company will only pay for a band-aid fix that doesn't resolve your real underlying health issues and only serves to keep you a long-term client of Big Pharma. Is it worth it? I think so, but you have to be willing to find out what is really going on with your health and then actually follow up with the actions that will resolve those issues. I wish we had a similar facility closer to home, but for me it is worth the trip. read more

I took my daughter to see Dr. Grossman for a low ferritin problem. She had already been diagnosed with Celiac disease via biopsy and had been gluten free for two years, but it had not resolved the ferritin issue. Her doctors could not figure out why, so we thought an alternative point of view might be useful; not so. After 6 weeks and about $750 in office visits and unnecessary labs, Dr. Grossman (who was well aware of my daughter's history) told us that she should stop eating gluten! Dr. Taz is great at listening, thinking outside the box and figuring out the problem and resolving it. I would rate her a 5 start, but unfortunately, her customer service and staff needs to be improved upon. I have had a wonderful experience with one nurse, however another nurse has twice given me the wrong or incomplete medication/supplements at check out as well as not informing me the proper dosage. You really have to stay on top of her staff to make sure they do exactly what she tells you to do. Make sure you take notes and ask questions! Also, they do not return calls within 24 hours which is concerning if in my case I had questions about a reaction to a prescription drug I was on. I hope that they can work on this part of their office because we need more doctors like Dr. Taz! She is wonderful. read more
