Visited this restaurant with a party of 5 on a Sunday evening. We didn't make a reservation, yet…read morewere able to get seated immediately. Only one other table of two guests was occupied. We received our menus instantly. Looked like we were off to a great start, but then...
We waited and waited and waited. Several folks came in to pick up takeaway orders which seemed to significantly hinder anyone coming our way to take orders. When we finally did have someone come over to take orders, they seemed in a hurry and left as soon as they received the drink orders without realizing we were more than ready to order food as well. A good 20 to 30 minutes later we were finally able to put in our food orders as well. I know it sounds like an exaggeration but alas it is not. We entered the restaurant at precisely 7 and when I looked at my watch after we finally got our food orders in, it was 7:40pm. Yikes.
The drink orders were pretty chaotic. We ordered a drink that they apparently could only make one off. They brought that out first and then a long while after brought out the other drinks. Kind of awkward.
Thankfully the food made up for a lot. It was tasty and the portions were generous. You could tell it was all freshly made which could explain the slow pace of service. Their naan was especially yummy. Not going to lie, I was a bit skeptical of a place that does both Japanese and Indian. That said, don't expect authentic Indian dishes, it has definitely been modified and given its own interpretation.
All in all not bad but the long wait time (when they were not even that busy) would make me seriously consider whether it's worth returning.
