Berries are here! Upon arrival, plenty of parking spaces and even an overfill lot as well as a handicapped parking spot. Systems in place for staff and visitors with signs around the entrance and store. Even in the u-pick areas the berries are labeled and hand washing stations at the entrance and on the way back too (though not all had paper towels). A little shaded area by the berries and a large outdoor seating area if eating from the bakery/store. I like that it's U-pick or you can buy pre-picked berries (though a bit more expensive). The greeter is very helpful and knowledgeable. She sends you to the next station if you want to pick berries. Due to the pandemic, the berries are picked by placing them in cardboard boxes and various size containers, depending on what you want. The employees at the u-pick station are knowledgeable as well and give directions on where to go for each berry. The bakery is where you pay for the berries picked and it was easy to spot and go through. Various stations to order and pick up goods like pie slices or milkshakes. All the employees were wearing masks and there was a system in place that was seen throughout! The outdoor dining area was being cleaned as I was leaving and it was easy to keep distance as the rows and rows of berries were abundant. On their website it says cash register area will be sanitized after each customer (scales, pin pad, countertops) and as I was behind one person, I didn't see what she bought or how she paid so cannot speak on that but felt social distancing was maintained throughout the farm. read more

My mother and myself have been going to Hoffman Farm for several years. Always wonderful folks willing to assist. Today's u-pick visit, was early in the morning with a wonderful warming sun. Each for us with a carton full of delicious raspberries, especially tasty after our very hot weather :) I waited for my mother in the cooling shade of a small tree, while she finished picking her prized fruit. From there I saw a young lady taking the harvest from my mother and helping her to the register. From the young lady attending to our vehicle park needs, to the warm exchange at our exit, good folks operate this establishment, and it shows in how the guests are treated throughout the visit. This is such a cute farm right in Beaverton. There's a corn maze, a playground for kids, a cafe, an area with already picked pumpkins and then a little farther down, a pumpkin patch. They provide little red wagons if you want to walk to the patch or give your kiddo a ride, or they have a shuttle type vehicle for the Grammies that come along. Beautiful pumpkins and lots of variety, classic orange, white, green and apparently the trendy new warty ones. They also have a little train (extra) and little bucket train cars too that my 19 month old son loved. Staff is super friendly and helpful. I am so glad I came here instead of The Pumpkin Patch on Sauvie Island! I arrived early Saturday morning around 10:30AM and it was moderately busy. There was definitely more people when we were leaving around noon. The Hoffman Farm was very organized! They had people directing parking, handing out event flyers, and clear signs for where to wait for rides to the pumpkin patch area and corn maze. My boyfriend and I decided do the corn maze first, which was $3 per person. The corn maze looked small from the outside, but we spent a good hour getting lost in there! Afterwards, we went to the pumpkin patch and there was so many to choose from. Different sizes, textures, and colors. The farm also provided little red wagons to carry all of your pumpkins in. We got a small/medium sized one and it was only $2! Overall, a wonderful first time experience at a pumpkin patch! read more

It's pumpkin season! We decided to visit the pumpkin patch at Hoffman Farm this year. There were plenty of staff around to help guide you through the farm. They were all very friendly and readily answered any questions we had. We were promptly greeted while we walked through the door, and my nephew was given a sticker which he was super excited about. They offer a free barrel ride for all ages. Corn maze and train ride are $5 each. Food is also good, definitely get the apple donuts! Overall, very cute farm. read more

We did their Strawberries and Raspberries Upick. If you're a family with kids, this is the perfect place! If you're a couple without kids, who wants to spend some quality time in nature and get out of town for a relaxing day? This, unfortunately isn't the place. My partner Kelly and I were looking forward to the latter, when we walked and walked and walked to get to the field of strawberries only to find barely any to choose from, and then after we find another field we thought we could pick from, shooed away by their farm workers... and then after we're finally excited to find the raspberries, shooed away from the guy manning the kids train that we (and others) weren't allowed to go that way. In short, a BEAUTIFUL farm. But really unorganized and full of parents and kids chattering away when all we wanted was to enjoy some peace and quite in nature. The good? Really amazing tasting raspberries! The bad? Just unorganized and un-relaxing. Oh and make sure you don't put the plastic tray they give you in the wagon. It was basically like a cheese grater to your fruit. Meaning, once we got to the counter, they made the strawberries and the softer, ripe fruit, mush. My suggestion? Carry the container and go during the week (at a time when kids are in school) if you're looking for some getaway time. read more

I came at a different time of year. I came looking for a Christmas tree when it was wet and cold. People were nice, parking lot was extra muddy. The store itself was ok. Lots a pre cut Christmas tree to choose from. Wasn't season for anything but Christmas trees, so probably less stuff on the shelves than during a regular summer day. Hands down the best farm in the area! Want local fruits and hand baked goods? Look no further than Hoffman Farms, a family-owned farm just a 25-minute drive from downtown Portland. This is the only place that I buy local berries (both U-pick and ready-pick) - their varieties are incredible and it's so much cheaper and better than buying from the store. The staff is always so helpful and friendly (did you know that it's family-owned and run?) and they pop their own fresh kettle corn. I love that they are open in the Fall now!! There's an actual pumpkin patch (not just pre-picked pumpkins sitting in a parking lot), a pumpkin cannon that shoots pumpkins every 10 minutes, beautiful decorations (very Insta-worthy), hay bale maze, a bouncy castle, rides for the kids, and those mini doughnuts and pies (oh my goodness, I need more). The farm is so much fun. My family and I love the picking berries here and the farm store is fantastic.

I've been to two pumpkin patches this season with my 2yo, and this one was by far my favorite. We started the afternoon with a hot dog from the food truck, and it was tasty! Next we took a train ride around the farm, and the line wasn't long at all (which is a blessing with a toddler). The things I liked about this place besides the ample parking at zero admission fees were that it did not feel over crowded. At one point we were waiting on the pumpkin shuttle to go to the patch, and all the seats in the back filled up. To my son's delight, the tractor operator told us to hop up front with him, and it pretty much made our day. The patch itself has pumpkins you can hunt for, or a few bins on the side for those who don't feel like hunting. My son was more interested in being in the open field, and walking up to all the farm equipment. The store line moves really fast, and they take cards! My ONLY disappointment was that they ran out of kettle corn :( We had such a good time, we will probably be back this season if the weather allows it! read more

This place has been my favorite pumpkin patch so far. I have a 16 month old and she loved it. Honestly the best part is that general admission is free and parking is free. You only pay if you want to do the corn maze or ride the train. This gave us the opportunity to spend money on pumpkins and baked goods instead of paying just to play. The berries here are outstanding! This is a full experience. In there summer, there is a tiny train ride around the berry patch, fresh cold berry lemonade, huge fields with you-pick options of several delicious types and varieties of berry, and even berry pies to bring home. I can't say enough good things about the flavor and quality of everything I tried! I got pre-picked blueberries, raspberries, marionberries, boysenberries, and both strawberry and blueberry lemonade. There was live music when I went, and a nice shaded outdoor seating area. The restrooms are outhouses but there are several and they are well-kept, and there is a handwashing station next to them. They even have wagons to pull around while doing you-pick to make it easier, and extra containers at locations out in the fields if you decide you need more. I especially appreciated the helpful and strategically placed signage, which was always right where I needed it when I had a question, and all the friendly staff ready to help and guide. I look forward to returning many times, both for the berries during the summer and for the pumpkins in the fall. read more

This place really hits it out of the park! The berry picking is fun for all ages and they have a produce stand that had everything I needed! They have excellent procedures in place for social distancing - the tables are spaced, they have hand washing stations and signs everywhere making their wishes clear. Kelly makes the best milkshakes! Various varietal berries, super sweet raspberries, blackberries and other berries. They have a delicious blueberry shake and don't leave without it. Staff is very helpful and friendly. This has got to be one of my absolute favorite u-picks. I've only ever picked blueberries here, but they are the sweetest blueberries that you will ever eat. They provide you with buckets and small wagons here, so upon first entry, we grabbed these items and headed to the blueberry patches. You are pretty much exposed in full sun here, which is expected (plants need sun!) so make sure you bring sunscreen and a hat if you are picking in the summer. There is also a play structure that my niece loves. It looks like they merged part of a tractor with some wood steps. I would keep a close eye on your kids though, because these planks often have large splinters sticking out of them. There are two sandboxes, one under the play structure and one a little ways away. What I love is that there are benches with umbrellas so parents can sit under some shade while watching their kids. Several times I have bought a picnic to eat at the benches after blueberry picking and would watch my niece play in the sand! read more

This farm goes above and beyond. The fields are beautiful and picking is a breeze. However, if you don't feel like picking they have the most amazing little farm store with ample supply of already picked berries, pies and a few other items off the farm. On our last visit they had fresh tomatillos out and I couldn't of been more excited as I needed that exact item for a salsa recipe to accompany homemade tacos al pastor. These were some of the best tomatillos I've found and it was such a welcomed unexpected item to have. Sometimes you can't even find them at the grocery store. You won't be sorry making a trip out there, but you may be sorry it took you so long! read more

This is a great place to hit when you want fresh berries. They sell them at the farm store already boxed up, but the real value is in the time spent with family picking your own! Tons of varieties, and as of 7/11 everything was only $1.50 per pound. Low bushes are great for kids, and there is a combine tractor play structure with slides and everything. Great fresh berry milkshake to boot. Can't recommend this place any higher, if you can get out to the Beaverton area, this is the best place we have found (tried lots!). read more

A neat, clean, and pleasant farm. Luckily for this busy mama, they have bags inside buckets for berry picking and so we just had to bring ourselves. The blueberry and blackberry bushes were bursting with fresh, delicious berries for us to pick! Very convenient as they accept major credit/debit cards as well, even for your berry picking purchase. Self control was the only thing holding me back from buying one of their delicious looking pies. They don't charge extra for entrance to the playground and no extra cost for the bouncy castle as well. There's a sandbox as well for kids to play in. This is a GREAT social distancing activity. Can bring kids, dates, family, solo trip here. There's also a farm store where we picked up some very sweet corn, and you could also buy other veggies, some jams, and some cobblers. It's very picturesque, would make a totally great Instagram outing. When we arrived there was plenty of parking. It's a very well run operation. It seems like in normal times, there's summer BBQs with a beautiful picnic area. Even in covid times, it's a great outdoor activity to try. And blueberries are so cheap! Very fun pumpkin patch! Loved that everything was free (bounce house, tractor ride to pumpkin field, barrel train, hay stack to climb on, etc.) except the pumpkins and food. Our little guys rode the barrel train probably 10 times! We had a blast watching the pumpkin launcher. All the staff were very friendly and helpful too! I recommend trying some corn-it was tasty with the mayo and cheese option (who knew?!). The donuts were just okay. The mini pies were very yummy-we got cherry and apple. We drove up to Hoffman Farm Store to get pumpkins and enjoy their property. What an amazing place. We went on a train ride, went through the corn maze, and had an incredible beef brisket lunch. We went to Hoffman farm on their opening day (May 25th) and it was amazing. I invited 5 or 6 if my kids friends with us. They ranged in age from 2-5 and they all had a great time. The parents all found it nice too. First we went out to star berry fields and got a lot of great tasting/looking strawberries then loaded up the wagon they had for us to borrow and headed back to the farm store. We paid for our strawberries and got strawberry milkshakes and pie crust treats! Both were soooo good. The pie crust treats tasted like homemade Cinnamon Toast Crunch! Delish! They had lots of yummy looking pies too! My kids favorite part was the playground. They had a piece of old farm equipment set up with a bunch of fun slides coming out of it, sand box with toys, big tire mountain with sand and a wooden tractor so cute to take pics in! We had a great time will definitely be back with more friends. read more

I have to say that this place alone makes us want to move to the Portland area. Beautifully picturesque setting among berry fields about 30 minuets from downtown, and staffed by pleasant folks that seem to love what they do.
