On my last day my polola suggested that we go to Kitcheng restaurant as we both had a desire for Asian food. We have eaten there before, years ago , ( carry out ) and I remembered that the food was good. So this time we ate in, on the second floor. She ordered a chicken dish while I ordered the beef teriyaki. It was delicious ! I was served my rice in a side bowl but I like to mix my rice with the teriyaki sauce for added flavor. So, I just dumped my bowl of rice onto my plate of teriyaki and hmmmmmmm muy rica y sabrosa. I think on my next trip back to Santiago this place is going to be my "go-to" place for Asian food as both, Chinese and Japanese dishes , are on the menu. The place is neat and clean and the waiters were attentive. There is free parking available in front of the restaurant. The restaurant is located in the Las Condes neighborhood of Santiago.

Yesterday, my wife and I along with our 2 small children went out to eat at this location... We were seated almost immediately. They did not offer us a child seat for our 2-year old, so after being seated I had to go to the front desk and ask for one. When the waiter arrived, we asked if they had a children's menu, they do not. They we asked if they could bring their drinks in plastic cups, and he said he would. So the waiter returned with just our drinks but nothing for them. So finally we asked another person and a supervisor brought over a couple of tall paper type cups (like you might drink a beer out of)... I asked the manager... are you not equipped to handle children's needs? He just looked at me dumbfounded. So in the end, service was very poor. In regards to food... as always, the food was great but the portion sizes are getting smaller and smaller... at about $30 US a person, you should not have to go home hungry, but that is exactly what we did. Sad, because the food is great... but customer service and servings sizes need a lot of work.

When it was time to pay we asked to split the check, he left with a bad attitude and didn't return. We had to flag a different server. I gave the business another opportunity since one server/occasion shouldn't determine a business' review. Well, not much changed. Service was delayed and when one of the guests asked for soy sauce, it's a Chinese restaurant, the female waitress appeared to be bothered as if we were asking for too much, and never returned until we asked for our check. When we asked to split the check, she said they weren't allowed. Although we knew they did and we also heard the table next to us also splitting the check.
