My parents have recently bought a house out in the new suburb Hobsonville Point. At first I wasn't too sure about it, but it has grown on me so much that I can't wait for the house to be finished.
It has been closed to the public for decades, as it was an army base. But now the developers have made it so anyone can enjoy this awesome part of Auckland. They have kept all the old army hangers, one of which they've turned into an awesome farmers market.
The best thing about this part of town is that you can enjoy they outer city lifestyle and just catch the ferry into town. In thirty mixtures you can be at your office job. The ferry doens't run loads but it's enough to get by. Fingers crossed the more people want to come to Hobsonville Point the more times the ferry will run. read more
