This place incapsulates the industrial/modern/vintage style that is taking hold all over the country and I think it is way ahead of its time here in Springfield. This reminds me of a place you would find in downtown Nashville. A lot of people would call this a "hipster" store but I think that would be too broad of a term to describe this place. There is a masculinity about this place that exudes the essence of the hard working industrial American male that we all wish we were more like. What I'm really trying to say is if Paul Bunyan or John Henry were still alive, this is where they would do business. I think it was heated in the microwave because it was sooo hot. The crust was flaky and buttery, delicious! The only downside was some of it was on the hard side I am assuming from a microwave. Overall it was very good. My husband had biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were the lightest fluffiest biscuit I've ever had! He thought that they exceptional but couldn't eat it all! I don't mind the use of a microwave except when it changes the quality of the food.
