I recently had four pictures reframed, all different sizes. The cost was right around $300. One of the pictures was a large size, 16 x 20. While we were hanging the picture this weekend, that particular frame did not have glass in it. The other three framed pictures had glass. I brought the picture in to show them there was no glass. He looked at my invoices and told me that I wasn't charged for the glass for that frame and another frame, an 8x10. Four newly framed pictures, three had glass , one did not. ????? Why that particular frame, I don't know. $26 later, I paid for the glass. He said he wouldn't charge me for the 8x10 glass that they "gave " me. The employee had to redo the back and everything that it entails to put the glass in, that should have been put in the first time. I just assumed that if you buy a picture frame and he asks, what kind of glass it was that I wanted, he would put glass in all of them. I gave them my information including my phone number when I placed the order. Common sense would have been to call me and this could have been taken care of in two minutes. Customer Service could use an upgrade. read more

I can't believe I have to write this! I've been a loyal customer of this hobby lobby for years. Today I purchased my items and left the store. I heard a beep and stopped the second door the door opened and I walked out. the new asst manager came out after I had made my way all the way to my vehicle and he took a picture of my vehicle. I got out and tried to talk to him why he was doing this and he ignored me and walked into the store. I'm not a thief so I grabbed my receipt and went back into the store. he claimed someone told me to stop, which it never happened. the asst manager proceeded to tell me that I set off the theft alarm and this was his duty. wow. this is how you treat loyal customers. no apology from him. Do better. If you are so worried about theft. have someone at the door checking receipts. instead of following someone and taking pictures. to verify if they are a criminal. You owe me a huge apology! im absolutely disgusted at this man's behavior. this man is goin to lose you customers if he treats people like this. Among the things I bought were a set of floral clippers for silk and dried stems. When I got them home, I tried them only to find they were vastly inferior quality and barely cut paper. When I returned then the next day, the clerk told me they didn't accept returns, called the store manager over who inspected them and loudly said that they were VERY used. She bought a pair and she loved HERS. I explained that I had just bought them the day before and thought they shouldn't be sold in the store because they were such horrible quality. I was made to feel like a criminal and embarrassed in front of other customers. I will never go back to this location and perhaps to Hobby Lobby. read more

They have everything from Christmas decor to puff paint, science projects, fabric, signs, flowers, you name it. It's like a black hole. I've been here a lot lately and have had good experiences every time. People are helpful and if they don't know the answer they will get someone else. It's usually easy to find a staff person. I appreciate the sales and how if something you want isn't on sale you can use the online coupon for 40% off one item- you can print it ahead of time or they will scan it from your phone. Frames seem to almost always be 50% off and they have awesome ones. My office is decorated with their wall art- my house is too- they have something for everyone. Their paper crafts are great and so are their baking items. Great and friendly service and awesome selection! read more

Very clean store with a wide selection of craft, home decor, and hobby materials. The place is huge, so I asked an employee where I could find picture frames. Big mistake. She just sort of looked at me like I had asked for her first-born child to be sacrificed at the altar of stupid questions before she gestured vaguely in a direction and said something snotty and condescending. Ugh. Finally found what I was looking for, only to be thwarted by a cashier who was engaged in chatting with the other cashiers, but couldn't figure out how to scan items or be bothered to interact with me. I liked this store more when it was an ACE Hardware., As is typical of most hobby stores, it is full of crap that I wonder why anyone would want. I am obviously not a crafty person. Store seems cluttered, but that is the nature of hobby/craft stores. Seemed like check-out process took longer and was more disorganized than it should have been. And I have never understood how a hobby/craft store can be closed on a Sunday. Weekends are when this kind of activity is most likely to take place. I get the religious stuff, but really, can't they find enough Seventh-Day Adventists, Jews, Wiccans, atheists and others to keep the doors open on Sunday? read more

Let me start out with my love for Hobby Lobby. I'm not talking about a mediocre love here....This is the real deal. Haha I will trek to a different store if I have no choice but nothing in the Springs compares. They have a HUGE selection. They always carry what I need, even harder to find items. Pricing is great as well. That being said, customer service here is HORRID. I you ask someone where something is, they look at you like you just told them to jump off a bridge naked. On top of that the cashiers are always talking back and forth to one another. This doesn't bother me but when a customer comes up, it takes little to no effort to acknowledge them as a person. When it's time to check out, I'm made to feel more like a burden then a paying customer. I love Hobby Lobby! So much stuff in this store you can spend hours and hours in here. Whatever you want they have particularly in crafting, home decorating, painting, you have to go to see. They also have great sales, every week there is always tons of different departments that have 50% sales and don't forget the coupons they offer. By far the worst experience I have ever had!!! The manager, Scott, was sooo rude to me, yelling at me from atop a ladder after I asked for his name and an employee called Dawn, told him that he had been rude to my 30 year old professional daughter. I have never had anyone talk to me the way he did. If this is the best representation of a store manager, then Corporate needs to revisit whom they put in that position!!! So first of all...I LOVE HOBBY LOBBY. I like EVERYTHING. I WANT everything and they have amazing prices. I have purchased everything from my daughter's birthday party decorations (zebra-print) to the kitchy knobs on my kitchen pantry doors to the fabric for my dining table cloth to Christmas tree ornaments and Easter basket treats & toys. They have great scents for my wax melt warmer, and everything is on sale at least once a month (or so it seems). I can also use my Hobby Lobby iPhone app to get 40% a regular priced item if what I purchase isn't on sale. Here is the 'con' (at least with THIS location): Customer service is POOR (like, as low as customer service can get). Now, there is ONE young lady that is incredibly helpful and pleasant so I try to seek her assistance out if I spot her. Otherwise, many of the employees act as though the customers are imposing upon their day by being there! On countless occasions I have been blocked from an aisle by stacks of boxes and no offer from present employees to clear a path for me to get (and BUY) the item I needed from that aisle. If you have the nerve to ask someone on the sales floor a simple question, expect to receive a deep sigh of contempt and a terse answer. On one occasion I recieved this huffy treatment WITHOUT even receiving eye contact from the employee I was speaking to! Even the cashier (yes, ONE- you know THE ONE lady that always seems to be cashiering and she REEKS of cigarette smoke-how appealing!!) can only be bothered to refrain from her conversation with another employee about 50% of the time I have shopped there (and I shop there several times a month). Not a nice 'last impression' of the store after your visit. I would MUCH rather self-checkout! Overall, this Hobby Lobby is CLEAN, inexpensive, offers a multitude of items for numerous crafts, decorating and fun projects, and has many nice quality items. However, if you are expecting to be treated as a valued customer...you will not get it here...unless you by chance get the ONE stellar employee (I need to pay closer attention to her name badge the next time I am there...). I usually enjoy Hobby Lobby and those who work there are usually helpful and nice. Average shopping experiences. But recently not been as good. I ordered a rain check on,cube vases and two of the five brought to me were chipped, I was offered a minimal off or take as is, I did take as is, but wasnt pleased, no apology, we can redo your order, just here you go, take em or,leave em, literally left them with my alternatives and gone. Today I had ordered picture frames, needed 7 and only had 2 in store, so we placed an order. Went well,got call, they were in, went to get them and handed my paper to manager telling him, I was in to pick up rain check order. He took paper. I strolled store kept watching for him and after 30 minutes plus asked him if he had found them, he laughed said OH I,PUT IT IN MY,POCKET, THOUGHT YOU WERE ORDERING. Not sure how he orders things but that shouldnt be one of them. So he takes paper out of pocket, calls for them. I wait another 15 minutes plus..and then have to wait in line..good hour for a quick pick up....NOT GOOD....What should have been done...he should have said. OH I AM,VERY SORRY, I MISUNDERSTOOD AND LET ME GET THOSE QUICKLY FOR YOU..and when they arrived, rung, ME UP with an apology on wait and a thank,you for understanding. Was looking to get two prints framed and I really didn't know what I wanted. Albert came to my rescue and really helped me out, giving all the price differences and even helping with frame color choice. Hobby Lobby is THE store to use whenever you have any project or a need for gift ideas. This one is large and has everything imaginable from art supplies to yard and landscape sculptures etc. In particular, their paint supplies and equipment are good quality and selection. The synthetic flowers for use in arrangements are there and stock is rotated throughout the seasons. Any craft project can easily be supplied with one stop. When framing pictures and photos I can find what I need with a good selection to choose from. However, when I need a custom job they are available for that as well. The framing department gives expert advice in choosing frames, matting, glass etc. to design the best setting for whatever you are having framed. They often have sales on framing and it is good to time your project for the savings up to 50%. Caution: their service is in such demand that you need to give yourself plenty of time, especially around holiday, gift giving times of which Christmas is the most challenging. They offer many different classes and workshops throughout the year for people to learn something new or pickup the latest techniques. Moreover, I happily patronize Hobby Lobby whenever I can because they do not sacrifice their Christian values to the almighty dollar. That means they respect Sunday as a day of rest and are not open. They also stand up for moral principles and this has particularly upset the secular forces to the extent that Hobby Lobby has had to defend their rights (and each of ours, by the way) in court even as high as the Supreme Court! That takes courage and I admire them for that and will support them as much as I can. read more
