I will try and makes this short.. Went in to buy an RC car with my kids and NO ONE would help us, stood around looking at the people behind the counters just watching us. ( store had 1 other customer) Went ahead and purchased on amazon ( saved $90). Broke a part and decided to give the local shop another shot. Once the guy behind the counter learned it wasn't purchased there he flat out walked away and didn't want to help us at all. I thought the guy was having a bad day when I called before Christmas trying to get a plane for my husband but yeah, no, they suck even more in person. Great store! My parents bought a little drone for our nephew and we couldn't figure it out. We took it in and they helped us figure it out, no problem! We started flying it and the little drone went up 50 feet, through a huge tree, across a busy street, and landed on top of the store...it still worked great! I wouldn't recommend flying it like that but it was nice to know that it is pretty sturdy :) great purchase! read more

Kids (anyone under 21 or so) aren't welcome here, unless they & their parents don't mind being shadowed and chastised by the older gentleman (owner?) the entire time they're in the store. Apparently items put out on unprotected display aren't supposed to be examined or touched, even by customers who have already spent hundreds of dollars in the place. "Don't touch that," "Be careful with that," "That's not for touching," etc. is continual. The guy even pretends to be tending to displays so he can hover over anyone perusing the R/C products. In the past we have intentionally shopped "local" and paid premium prices to support a local business; but the Internet is right here at our fingertips, without the harassment. We do give an extra star above because of Parker -- he is awesome, patient, helpful, and understands that hobbies begin with kids, not with sourpuss adults. read more

The older gentleman at this hobby shop has gone over the top now. My latest experience started yesterday when I went in to buy a Center driveshaft for a truck I bought there and he sold me driveshafts and assured me it would work. But when I got home nope, they were axles and I noticed before I even took them out of the package. I went back this morning @ 9:30, and of course the part I need is not in stock, he refused to give me my cash back, only a check. When I said that was not acceptable he only offered to refund it out of his own pocket, (isn't he the owner?) and asked me never to return. I have always gotten wonderful service from Parker, Parker is been great but for some reason every time I get the older gentleman and he is not nice. If you do have the misfortune of needing to go into this place please do not talk to the older gentleman, he will only lead you down the wrong path. I have had to drop over $1600 on this truck because of their missteps. I could've bought the same truck new out-of-the-box for $729 from that store! The local hobby shops role is to provide the expertise in a hobby. If they provide you the wrong expertise and don't admit their own mistakes all you have is money wasted. He is only driving us to the online stores! read more
