I know..I know...order pizza from (what only appears to be) a gas station convenience store but you will (like I was) be surprised! Stopped by and ordered two large pizzas..plain cheese and a sausage and mushroom. They do not fool around with the amount of cheese and you can tell the mushrooms are fresh (yum!)! Sauce is good too! I'm not a big fan of Greek style crust (which I felt this was) but it was good.... Service was friendly and the time estimate was on the nose! Will definitely go again! As a note - there is a pizza place across the road...the Vermont Pie & Pasta Company...but, if you check the menu they are serving "pizza" and not PIZZA! We stop here on the way to Canada. 1. To get cheap gas. Cheapest in the area. It's Gulf gas. 2. To play VT lotto, get a Caledonian Record newspaper to read in the car. 3. To use the bathroom facilities. It was clean enough for me. However you can see your breath in there in winter. 4. To get a snack, which is usually a slice of their pizza which is not very good. I usually stick with gas or chips. You can also find local VT made beef jerky here. That's a yum. read more

It was order today at 430 pm I got it home and was very shocked by this spoiled roast beef.not just by looking but smell is off so not o ly is the newport one unable to get it right up this one also so the cost is on the slip and the server. Peggy.b read more

Slices are always fresh and good. Fast friendly service. Staff is much more friendly here than at the downtown newport Hoagies location where this crazy server litteraly will start a fight wirh you if you try to send a wrong order bsck. I was debating on whether to give this place three or four stars and decided on four. The pizza here is very good. The only problem is the seating area is small and not very nice. Order your pizza "half-baked" and "to go" for the best results. They have a convienence store on the other side of the restaurant that sells lottery tickets, snacks, and a small selection of food and personal items. They also sell gas. If it's snowing outside, it can get very crowded near the counter with all of the people waiting for take-out orders. read more

We have been eating Hoagie's pizza in Newport since they opened and have been generally pleased. Last night I ordered a Hoagie's special, partially cooked, at the Express and was not at all pleased. The crust was dry and tasteless, more bread-like than pizza crust. While the peppers and onions were fresh and plentiful, here was little tomato sauce, no cheese, and the hamburg looked like black pellets and tasted as good. Never again. read more
