Tried to go online to pay me bill for some reason the system wouldn't allow. After 30 mins of trying I was so UPSET I had to take medication to calm me down! I call in the morning and speak to Joan who proceeds to tell me how their system works just fine and I must be the problem!! NEVER did Joan say "Im sorry you had a hard time but I'm more than happy to help! She puts my card in and again system error on HUD side and has to put it in again! Then proceeds to hang up on me. I lookup the General Manager Greg Butler and call back. Joan answers and conveniently I'm left on hold then sent to VM! It is so DISAPPOINTING that businesses are RIGHT and us customers are always WRONG!!! HUD customer service SUCKS!!!!! You should be ASHAMED Joan & Greg!!!! read more

Really? I don't get it. I've had 0 issues in the nearly 10 years I've lived in the Hixson area. The bill has always been extremely reasonable. Anytime I have called (which may have been once or twice), they have usually been extremely nice and usually able to work out a solution. It would have been five stars, except they have, in one instance, cut the water while I was showering for planned maintenance, and gave no prior warning. This review is on their customer service alone! Just try and call to tell them you think your bill might be wrong! The woman I talked to acted like I was accusing her personally of running up my water bill. They just told me I was wrong, no offer to help me resolve my issue, no offer to re-check my meter. There is nothing I can do, I am at their mercy here, I have no other option. read more

I've lived in Hixson and Middle Valley for almost 30 years and have always been pleased with the service I've received from Hixson Utility. There was a water main line break a few years ago that required digging up part of my driveway. After Hixson Utility repaired the driveway, it looked better than it had originally and my neighbors have inquired about who did the work. I can count on them to return my calls and they are always pleasant when I contact the office. read more

Online text to phone bill pay system doesn't work properly. They charge you $2.95 for the "convenience of paying them on the interenet. They have bankers hours making it impossible to go directly to the office if you have a job. Rude employees. Antiquated systems. Perfect example of what a company and employees shouldn't be. read more

It is a shame when you have a water leak in a townhome complex and no one knows who's line it is that is leaking. You call and finally get someone to come and check and they give you the run around and then still do not tell you if its your line or a neighbors. I have the leak protection and service protection added to my bill/plan and still cannot get anyone to tell me whose line is it that is leaking. Oh, and it is still leaking after almost a week. Yes, we have seniors that live here and some may be or may not be at home, so as President of the homeowners association, I would have liked to know whose water line has a leak so that I can possibly find the rightful owner. I have had better service with other companies in the past and it is a shame that you have to live in an area where you can't shop for that service, you just have to take what is available. This water leak has to my knowledge been leaking now for over a week and it would have been so nice that a letter or message be left to whom it belongs to. I just think you run a shotty company with poor customer service, but oh if you don't pay your bill on exact time, they shut your water off for no apparent reason other than failure to pay. That is crap after being a customer for over 20 years and have never not paid a bill or been late, no excuse at all. read more
