I am so grateful for his place Church. The fellowship here is so welcoming and encouraging and nonjudgmental. They have accepted me and loved on me in such tangible ways that shows the power and the healing the grace and mercy of Jesus Christ. The teaching is really good Pastor Chris Jones is right on and the worship is so beautiful. It touches my heart. I wake up singing praises to God now rather than Being doomed in despair thank you God for bringing me to His Pl., Church. I have so many prayers that have been answered by the healing presence of this church. This is a perfect place for imperfect people like me, lol. It's a great church with great teaching for all ages. Child care is amazing. The Teachers are good with all children including autistic and developmentally disabled children. They have a very diverse outreach ministry and the second largest food bank in OC I believe, which is incredible considering they are not even in the top 50 largest churches in OC, numbers wise and campus size. This is a great church, I call it home. I have been a member here for 10 years . We have service on Sunday 9 and 11 am, and Wednesday 7pm With a great recovery on Friday at 6:30 pm Men's meeting and a women's recovery meeting in two different areas of the Campus with Alanon in another room. They also have child care and the best part is on Sunday Pastor Joe and associate Pastor Jonny Ray make it a really great message and Worship is led by Dustin. I may sound bias but I challenge you if your looking for a church or a recovery meeting give His Place a try. About 4 yrs ago, I was "church surfing", looking for a place to call home. For some reason I wasn't finding what I was looking for, but then a friend invited me to check out His Place church. My friend had been an atheist when we were younger, so it was strange to hear him invite me to church. That's probably why I wanted to go. If some place got him, I had to see what it was about. The first time I walked in, I felt warmth and a surreal presence of the Holy Spirit. I had never felt that at church before. When Pastor Joe gave his sermon, he was just so honest and transparent about his walk with the Lord and his struggles because he had just lost his son to a drug overdose. THat was one of the biggest tests of his faith and he was real about how difficult it was. Pastor Joe is one of the most genuine people I've ever known and he speaks the Word in a way that everyone can understand. I've learned more about The Word of God in the last 4 yrs than I did my whole life, going to Catholic Church. Four years later, I feel the same way as I did the first time I walked through the doors. There's never been a church like this before. Now I'm involved with the Kids ministry and I feel so blessed to be a part of this group. We also have a lot of ministries that go to the streets. We have a group to help families living in hotels. We have other ministries to help people with addictions. We have a ministry group who goes and prays with the girls who sell their bodies on the streets. This church is truly for the people. The money goes to the community and it is awesome! Meat of the word in a non judgmental atmosphere. Come to seek the lord and he will seek you right back. I love the children's ministry and the nursery. Also moe's food bags have helped me with groceries for 4 years. Recovery grief and young adult ministries are very fruitful. This is a great church full of love and the Holy Spirit. The leaders are down to earth, real people that struggle with real life stuff. Im so grateful that my family and I have found His Place Church. The childrens and youth ministry is awesome I love taking my kids here and giving them a place to find God and learn about our Lord and Savior.
