I am sure it looked differently back then…read more Today and for the last several decades that I can remember, it occupies 1/2 of one side of the Square in Oxford and always looks like it was recently painted and attractively fresh. It is one of those department stores that you rarely see anymore, especially in small towns like Oxford. It's not a chain like Macy's or Dillards but a one store entity. And if a store like this would still exist, it should exist in Oxford. It is an upscale department store with upscale prices. The people who work here are schooled in old time customer service with that southern flair. Go in and browse and you will see what I mean. Yes, prices are high. They probably have to be for this place to stay in business and operate in a very expensive location. I hope it stays around for a long time. The Square wouldn't be the same without it.

Frequently, in fact. Every single day. I just don't spend a lot of time shopping for them. I buy pants, I wear them, and I keep them until they either fall apart or someone tells me I can't wear them anymore. But I digress. Turns out The Pants Store is so much more than pants. Are you a dude? They got you. Are you a sorority girl? They got you. Are you an Ole Miss fan? Oh, they DEFINITELY got you. Shoes, jackets, shirts, accessories, knickknacks, and all kinds of other stuff you didn't know you needed until you walked in. And the best part is they have stuff at pretty much every price point. I've been calling every 3 weeks since January to get refunded. They keep opening case numbers and tell me that someone will get back with me. It is now April and I still don't have this issue resolved.
