NEVER GO HERE EVER! My family has been giving this guy business for years and i bought a vehicle…read morefrom him. After 3 years of owning the vehicle for 3 years (under 150,000 mi) i had to replace the motor. At this time i bought a brand new motor with a 3yr warranty and tires. Problem #1: got a deal on some "used for 3 days" tires. Within 48hrs of purchasing the tires one blew out on the interstate at the beginning of my 500 mile trip. When i got somewhere to buy another tire i was told the bead was cut and they were amazed i made it that far. When i called this mechanic back and nicely told him the problem he screamed and cursed at me and then hung up on me. Problem #2: 6 months after purchasing the motor it was making an awful noise. I had someone else look at it and was told there was something majorly wrong with the motor and i should not continue to drive it. I contacted murphys yet again and told them i needed information to contact the warranty company. Aside from this warranty company being awful and wasting a month and a half of my time (time without my vehicle) i was told that the motor i just bought was no good and had to be replaced. Muprhys did not give me a warranty manual and was of no help to me during this process. After 2 months with no vehicle i finally got it back with a new motor. A different auto repair place in a different state did the work. Problem #3: When i picked up the vehicle today i was told that when murphys originally installed the first new motor there were bolts missing everywhere (another problem i ran into in that 6 month period). Not only were there tons of bolts and nuts missing, it was the sloppiest and shadiest work they had ever seen. There may not be lots of other auto repair places in that area but it would be well worth the extra time and money to go somewhere else, do not let this place touch your vehicle.

Despite their busy schedule they accepted the tow in, and told me they'd get back to me by the end of the week (it was a Tuesday). By Wednesday, I was driving out of the lot with no fee. The battery had died and they recharged it and gave me a call right away, and assured me they checked other systems to be sure there were no errors. Car is running great, and I can't thank the folks here enough! Definitely my first call for any car trouble in the area. Note: they take all cars but specialize in Honda/Acura, so absolutely make note if that's your car brand.

Cash's towing picked me and my vehicle up and took us the 15 minutes to Wayne's. The Lexington AutoZone about ten minutes away had the necessary part; Wayne drove over to pick it up himself and dropped me off at a local restaurant to get some lunch while they worked. All told, the job was done and I was back on the road in a little less than two hours after we first arrived at the shop. The price was fair and the both Wayne and the only other gentleman working the shop on Saturday were friendly. It's never great to have a vehicle failure, but shops like Wayne's make it a little less painful!
