Food: Good food and definitely worth stopping by if you're already in the Kamloops area, but I wouldn't call it a destination restaurant. We tried quite a few dishes, including the momos, curries, biryani, noodles and sizzling meat dishes. The momos were the standout, especially with the rich sauces. The curries were creamy and flavourful, the biryani was generous, and everything came out looking and tasting freshly prepared. Portions are substantial for 8 people, so this is a good place to come hungry and share several dishes. The party is not into rice so we ordered more of the naan bread.
Ambiance: The restaurant itself is casual and colourful with Himalayan/Tibetan touches. The surrounding area though feels a little rough around the edges or we call it sketchy, so don't expect a polished neighbourhood or upscale dining experience.
Bottom line: solid, satisfying Nepalese, Indian fusion food at a casual local spot. If you're nearby, absolutely give it a try. I enjoyed the food, but I wouldn't make a special trip to Kamloops specifically for it. read more
