Drawing upon the vision of Mother Elizabeth Seton, the center was established to offer a diverse range of programs and resources, including child-care services, senior services, and music and theater programs. Through these offerings, the Elizabeth Seton Center has become an integral part of the Pittsburgh area, fostering creativity, learning, and intergenerational connections. I've been here in several occasions and have been impressed with their continuing support of the arts and the community. Most recently to attend the very first play that my son, daughter, and son-in-law performed together in. It was a very well done production by The Heritage Players of The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. It is a fantasy play based on C.S. Lewis's novel, depicting the magical adventures of the Pevensie siblings in Narnia. They discover a wardrobe that transports them to this enchanted realm, where they aid the lion Aslan in defeating the evil White Witch and restoring peace. This timeless story, filled with magic, love, and courage, that was captivating. Catherine & Alan played Mr. & Mrs. Beaver and Matt played a guard to the evil White Witch. Rooted in the legacy of Mother Elizabeth Seton, the first American-born saint and the founder of the Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill, the center is committed to providing compassionate care and support for individuals of all ages and backgrounds. In keeping with this mission, the Elizabeth Seton Center offers high-quality child-care services, creating a nurturing environment for young children to grow, learn, and thrive. The center also places a strong emphasis on senior services, providing essential resources and opportunities for older adults to engage in social, cultural, and educational activities. Through these programs, seniors can participate in stimulating and enriching experiences that promote physical and mental well-being while fostering meaningful connections with others. In addition to its focus on child and senior care, the Elizabeth Seton Center has established itself as a premier destination for music and theater enthusiasts in Pittsburgh. The center's performing arts programs provide opportunities for participants of all ages to explore their creative potential and develop their talents in a supportive and inclusive environment. Home to the Heritage Players, a community theater group with a rich history of producing diverse and engaging productions, the Elizabeth Seton Center's theater programs bring the magic of live performance to local audiences. Through this collaboration, the center contributes to the vibrant arts landscape in Pittsburgh while offering a platform for performers to share their passion and skill with the community. The theater area is a spacious 300-seat auditorium with a excellent sightlines but the seating is old school wood and the acoustics can be challenging due to the high ceilings and the shear size of the auditorium The Elizabeth Seton Center's musical offerings further highlight the organization's commitment to promoting the arts and community engagement. Through concerts, workshops, and other events, the center fosters a deep appreciation for music and encourages both emerging and established musicians to showcase their talents. Bottom line: The Elizabeth Seton Center is a vital institution that exemplifies the values of its namesake, Mother Elizabeth Seton. With a strong dedication to child and senior care, as well as a deep commitment to promoting the arts through music and theater programs, the center continues to make a profound impact on the lives of Pittsburgh residents. By providing a welcoming space for learning, creativity, and growth, the Elizabeth Seton Center remains a true gem in the heart of Pittsburgh.

It is host to the Heritage Players who put on live performances throughout a year. I've seen my sister do productions with a couple of theather groups throughout the years. I would have to say this has to be the best one by far. The theather is old and has a bit of a 1950's nostalgia feel to it. I'm all for nostalgia but they could use some better seating. I was satisfied with the stage area acoustics and lighting making for a perfecting musical or play experience. If you're wanting any concessions for the show it's not really anything special as it's reminiscent of a table we'd see at elementary school functions consisting of candy bars sodas & a few other little snacks. But did offer a little alcohol. I would strongly recommend to BRing CAsh as consesions doesn't accept cards. I don't know about tickets as my sis gave me those free. I'd love to spectate some plays here in the future. I actually enjoyed myself a bit & will look into what else this Center has to offer. I remember texting my friend Vlad because I was so excited to use the sauna at the Strongsville Rec. Center. He said that I probably would find Russian men in the sauna which I did, 2 of them (apparently Russians love saunas which is cool...haha). I am writing this review a year later, in Feb. 2025. A day pass cost me about $10, if I can remember correctly. I like that this option exists because I don't have to join as a member to use the gym and sauna. GYM/POOL/SAUNA -- At the upstairs gym, I used the stair master and walking track. I also noticed that they have a weights room downstairs but I didn't use it because I didn't have a lot of time. I then used the sauna and steam room downstairs. I stayed in the sauna for about 10 mins and I stayed in the steam room for about 5 mins. The sauna is very small but manageable. There were 3 men in there when I entered. I appreciate that there is a camera inside incase of any emergencies. The steam room is a bit bigger which felt nice. It feels good to be spaced out between people. TIPS -- I recommend bringing a towel to sit on while you're in the Sauna and Steam room. Bring a water bottle too. Also, bring a padlock and key to lock your bag and clothes in the changing room (locker room). I didn't bring a lock because I didn't realize that I would need one so I carried my wallet with me while I used the gym and sauna. Now that it is winter as I'm writing this review, I want to return to the sauna and steam room. The whole gym and pool/sauna area gets very crowded so I recommend that you arrive early. Also, I noticed that some floors were not very clean as I walked around the pool/sauna area. **** GOAL of 365 reviews in 2025 - 34/365 total reviews in 2025 - 815 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 5 February 2025

The Clinton Township Senior Adult Life Center offers wide variety of activities, classes,…read moreservices, and planned excursions for people 55 years of age or older. Lifetime membership is available for a one-time fee to anyone ages 55 and older who has a valid Michigan state I.D. or driver's license. In the case of married couples, if one spouse meets the age requirement, then the other is allowed to be younger. The fee for residents of Clinton Township is $50 for a single and $70 gor a couple. Non-residents pay $80 for a single and $140 for a couple. Naturally, group excursions, classes, wellness sessions, and other services cost extra (I pay a whopping $4 for an hour of T'ai Chi, for instance). However, use of much of the facility is available to members at no additional charge, and many groups of people meet to play cards, discuss books, or just generally hang out. I could not begin to list all of the things that are going on here, but you can go to their website and click on The Senior Newsletter on the left side of the page if you would like to check it out for yourself. They have all kinds of clubs and get-togethers for enthusiasts of everything from Mah Jongg, chess, and bingo to knitting, wood carving, and investing. Many sports snd fitness classes are held here, such as Yoga, T'al Chi, Meditation, Badminton, Tennis, and Ping Pong. Use of their Wellness Center, with a wide spectrum of exercise equipment, has a yearly membership fee and requires physician approval. In addtion to all this, they have a slew of special events including dinners, holiday parties, and socials. If that's not enough, they have a travel club called The Wanderers which arranges trips to all manner of places both near and far. Need your watch battery replaced, knives sharpened, hair cut, or nails done? Those services are available, as well... and I have barely scratched the surface in this brief review. If you are 55 or older, you would do well to check this place out. Tell 'em Lee sentcha!
