It's one of several small storefronts perched on the hill above the river and the train station, and it fits the setting perfectly. Be careful walking in from the street as you have to step down a few stairs and the doorway top can catch a tall person not being careful. The front room has a good selection of accessories and gifts. The back room feels like a little discovery. There is a small book shop tucked among a wide variety of fun items--think of things you might find in a novelty store like Spencers. It's really the kind of place where you come for one thing and notice three others that catch your eye. The staff were very nice which added to the relaxed feel. Overall, this is a great stop while exploring Harpers Ferry--especially if you're already walking the hill from the Fort. She explained that they were closed but she was in house working on their homemade bath bombs and soaps, and would be for a while that day. I explained that I just needed to grab a few post cards, and she offered to open the doors for us to come in and get what we needed. When we got there we saw right off the bat how inviting their store is and what a large selection of handmade items they sell. Not only do they make their own inventory to sell in store, they also offer other locals works. From bath accessories, to jewelry, and even more. They also have an in house deli type area that would be perfect for relaxing and grabbing some Hershey ice cream after walking around town. Autumn couldn't have been more kind and helpful, and we can't wait to head back to the area to visit again. When you visit don't forget to grab some soaps! They smell heavenly!
