There weren't really many people here, but there seem to be residents to seem to like to walk around here. I can literally see SF and some bridges from here, but it's quite far compared to other marinas like the one from San Leandro and Emeryville. I also like how the sidewalks are created here. They seem to do a good job at creating them. This park is connected with the San Francisco Bay Trail. So if you want, you can visit other areas around here using that trail.

This is a really nice park to visit all year round. It's well maintained and not crowded on…read moreweekdays. Weekends are a little more crowded so we only go there on weekdays. There are plenty of trails to explore. We enjoy walking on the dirt trails along the bay or through the trees. The fishing pier is very popular. We've never gone fishing there, but have seen people catching fish there. Great views of both Mount Tam and Mt. Diablo. There are also picnic areas with barbecue pits. My only gripe about this park are sometimes we see dogs off and on leash that are aggressive and seem dangerous. I'm always on guard with my pepper spray or my walking sticks. There are 2 parking areas in the park with plenty of spaces. We love to park at the Atlas Road entrance. This parking area is closer to the pier and has a picnic tables and has several bathrooms than the Giant Way entrance.

Parking was very easy and free on the weekdays. The bad thing is the suspicious and raggedy looking coyote that kept staring at us the entire time we were here. I don't know why no one else mentioned the coyote problem here. Don't bring babies or small dogs. This coyote was not afraid of humans and waited right in front of the entrance of the trail so you can't avoid it. Plenty of trees but the entire place looked like a fire hazard. Unkempt and out of control trees and branches everywhere. Also forget about having a picnic here when there's a coyote staring at you the whole time. Good luck.

This place was a nice little getaway tucked away on top of the hills in El Cerrito. It has a humongous play / Park area with multiple slides, multiple Bridges, and mouth on the couch for kids to climb and play on. It surprised me how large the entire park was to begin with. What Caught me off guard there was a huge Park for baseball, soccer, and doing a lot of outdoor activities it's, dating for people who want to have picnics in the park, as well as throw Park parties. I'm very impressed with this location because it's also in a very calm and beautiful neighborhood in El Cerrito. The whole general neighborhood around here is very pleasant. Green and some views and a bit of elevation. This isn't the type of park that would attract people from afar but I think you might try it once. Don't let the locals have all the fun. When i saw this yuuge flat field carved into the side of the hill I could only think of the cost and effort to create it. I've shoveled some soil to level things in my own back yard and this is very heavy work. Baseball or soccer field is the main attraction. Large piece of lawn you can enjoy and not have to take care of. 3.5 stars.

Local residents apparently use it as a means to get quickly from Arlington Avenue to Highland Blvd. Tennis players have started to return to the courts. The playground and picnic tables are still taped off, but young families and dog walkers still use the paved oval track. Jamie W. and I use the track to get our steps in, and during shelter-in-place, sometimes finding ourselves going around thirty or so times just to hit our goal if it's raining and we don't want to venture too far afield.
