Specialties

We showcase the talents of artists of all media. The artists may be from Santa Cruz County, Arizona or nationwide. We also showcase the talents of Artists from Nogales, Sonora, and other parts of Mexico. They may just be starting their career in the arts or be fully established and well recognized. We offer art classes to children and youth (ages 4 - 19) at low cost (to cover the supplies and instructor stipends). The Arts and Crafts classes are $20 per four week session while the Classes in various media are $40 per four week session.

History

Established in 1972.

The Patrons of the Arts Inc. Hilltop Gallery started as a dream in 1968 and opened its doors to the public during our first show in 1972. We are a 501(c)3 tax exempt Non-Profit funded by grants and donations. We are facing our Capital Campaign soon to raise approximately $175,000 for remediation, repairs and improvements to the physical plant.

Meet the Manager: Dave J.

Actually I am the newly elected president, one of nine volunteer board members. The "owners" are the members of the Gallery. We have a Gallery Administrator who receives a half time salary. Some of the board members are artists, some are patrons (admiring the art, occasionally buying it). Some are both artists and patrons. We all struggle to support the financial needs of the Gallery. I am a retired minister, among other things, and have been a member for six years and on the board for five. Term limits will allow me to retire again on May 31, 2016 (no pension this time).
