They came to the rescue!!!! In a nightmare attempt through AAA to get my car towed for repair, 3 seperate tow companies were called over a period of 4 days. First tow company - no show, now calls. 2nd tow company calls 1 1/2 hours after they said the would be there and then tells me that I have to bring the car to them. WHen I told them I wasn't able to drive it, they told me to find someone else and hung up. The third tow service AAA hired, like the first never showed up or called. Frantic and stranded without a working vehicle, I gave up on AAA and called Hills towing. I had no choice, but to pay for a tow since this problem had to be resolved. THEY WERE HERE IN 18 MINUTES!!!! They had my vehicle loaded up in 4 minutes and got me quickly where I needed to be! Thanks to them, my truck is fixed. THe cost of the tow was actually much less than I had anticipated and I am fighting for AAA to refund the cost. read more

We had a road side assistance services and Hillside towing was dispatched and Dustin came out and asked for money up front said port to port is based on charges, even though we already have a road side assist!!! Unprofessional, disrespectful, did not help us and left us in the middle of the road and James the brother of the owner who owns the company told Dustin to leave us without help!!!! Rude!!! Scams!!! I called in tears because my car battery died. first they tried to charge me $110 until I asked to speak with a manager then they said it would be $65. the disrespect showed up when the driver said "be there in 15 min" and literally NEVER showed up and I was forced to call a different company to assist me. never ever in your life use this company. read more

AAA referred me to Hills Towing when I had a dead battery. They did not have the battery in stock. This is for a Jeep Wrangler, nothing unusual. The representative suggested I buy my own battery, call AAA again, and they would install it. That wasn't a great option for me - I'm older, I have a bad shoulder and lifting a battery is tough. I gave them some time to restock, but on teo more calls, I got the same story - out of stock, but they will install one that I purchased. again, no luck. Finally I purchased the battery - but Hills refused to provide service. Simeone actually suggested I drive the Jeep with the dead battery (to a retailer and have them install it. These are dishonest people who will not provide a service they promised they would perform, because now they want the profit from selling me a battery. read more

I was driving my Jeep along one of the washes in the high desert near Pioneertown when I got hung up on a boulder. It was starting to get late in the day and after several tries to get my Jeep unstuck I made the decision to hike out toward the road. A friend recommended Hill's Towing and it was a wonderful end to what could have been a terrible experience. James and his crew arrived really quickly after I sent him a dropped pin for my location. They drove me to my Jeep and we were unstuck in no time. Very honest guys, very helpful and very prompt. I can't recommend these guys enough. Where's the button to give them 10 stars??!!? My husband & I were on our way to Joshua Tree to celebrate my 60th birthday when our car broke down just outside the park. I was almost in tears thinking this trip was over before it even started. We called AAA and they sent us Steven from Hill's Towing. He took a look at our car and immediately identified what the issue was and recommended we call around some auto parts stores to see if they had the part we needed. We found the part at the local Napa Auto Parts stores so Steven towed our vehicle there. Rather than just leaving, he stuck around to make sure the part would work and even let my husband borrow some of his tools. He was so incredibly helpful and caring. He saved our trip!!!!!! Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality We took a turn down a road we should not have (dont follow the gps when you don't thi k you should) we saw someone stuck and slowed (mistake #2) we sunk a but but were able to power through. The second car in our party was not so lucky and sunk in and was done. Called AAA the dispatched us Hills Towing and Tim called to say he was on the way. We didn't know the area (not from this end of the state) and he ended up backing down the road 2 miles and was on the wrong side. He drove around and we followed and he was easily able to pull the car out and get us back on the road. He was very nice gave us great advice and told us how to get where we needed to be. Absolute failure to assist. Claimed our road was not well enough maintained to send a truck to winch us out 10 feet back onto the road. I literally drive a fiat on this road every day. The road is maintained by the county. Hills just didn't want to come help us on their Friday night. Absolutely useless. Stranded for hours with a tire in a ditch just off the road. Terrible experience. I totally recommend you NOT TO USE THEIR SERVICES. They are after your money, they treated us badly and threatened us in the middle of the dessert if not agreeing with their excessive and abusive charges they would tow and take our car right there! Their dispatcher said not more than one hour ($200), but if something would go wrong then starting paying $100 per extra hour. The whole ordeal took 10 minutes plus their driving time (not that far) and they suddenly increased the time to 1 hour and 1/2 and charged us extra $100 out of no where... We were warned by the other towing company in town about this shady practice, yet we did not listen.... lesson learned! Never will call Hill's Towing again. They even shoved up with a personal vehicle to get us out of the sand! And still charged us like a "big company" price with hidden fees last minute. Bad bad bad... read more

Last fall, I had a broke down truck in a mechanic shop three zip codes away from Yucca Valley, but that's where my favorite repair shop is....so I called the owner of Diamond Automotive in Yucca and he suggested Hill's. At that moment they were busy with a flash-flood rain, so it was put off til the next business day. They went out and retrieved my truck and brought it to the mechanic. They did not take payment over the phone, and were not contracted with my Roadside Assist program. Their invoice had to be paid personally. It was a good experience and I am going to use them again even though they are a cash-and-carry tow company, the prices are reasonable and I can get reimbursed. I will update after they tow a different vehicle for me today to Diamond Auto. UPDATE: Troy picked up my truck today and of course, perfect service, fast response time. Laura in dispatch is very helpful and understanding as well. Will recommend if I get the chance! read more

These guys saved my a** when my car got stuck in Joshua Tree. Thankfully, the quick thinking of the guy (wish I remembered his name) who came out saved my car from being totally destroyed. The bottom of my car was scraping the drive. So he couldn't tow it the normal way. He had to call in a flat bed and do a "recovery". They gave me a very fair price. My car was pulled out unharmed. After he left, I noticed a light was on in my car. I called them worried about light. He was nice enough to drive back and check it out for me. Great company! Woman who answered the phone was lovely too. Highly recommend for anyone stuck in the middle of the desert!!! read more

I would not suggest this toeing company if my life depended upon it. I've been waiting all day for them to tow my car and they refused because AAA said it was a courtesy. Since Hills rowing wouldn't get paid for it, they refused. I've been here since 10am and it's now 5pm. I haven't eaten or drank anything all day because I've been waiting on them. The first guy (James) who showed up point blank said he wouldn't move my car as it wasn't right in the driveway. He then LIED to AAA and told them I had just purchased the vehicle. Which I had not. My car was rear ended on our way to JTP. The Sheriff requested Hill's Towing to take care of my car. Kevin did an amazing job: he went above and beyond by helping me get my most important items out of the crumbled trunk, and even helped finding us a new hotel to stay at, since we obviously weren't going to make it to our reserved hotel 20 miles away. He made suggestions where to get transportation and was super helpful every step of the way. I called AAA after my car got stuck in a washed out area of the road in the freezing cold at night. AAA said we would be waiting an hour but Hills towing called immediately and were there within 20 minutes. I wasn't sure if my car would be salvageable but this amazing responder got my car out and I was able to drive it home in one piece. I highly recommend hills towing. read more
